Infinite roll, ******** shield that can bounce projectiles. Master sword never breaks.

Not to mention the master sword is a 2handed weapon.
Bombs, Bow and arrows with different effects, quite a bit of magic, that boomerang stuff and Revive/full heal items.
Yea Link would kick ass in dark souls.

Wouldn't the Master Sword be one handed weapon since it works with the Hylian Shield? I mean...in Ocarina of Time the only weapon you couldn't use with the shield when you weren't smol Link was the Biggoron Sword.

In a way, you have infinite lives in DS, so multiple lives don't really matter here.
I don't know the limits to Links strength or speed, since I never played any Zelda game, but there are more than enough enemies and bosses that are on par, or even on a higher level than he.
Rings are never something to ignore in the DS universe, or the poise filled hammers, but they won't make him untouchable.

I thought that too. I just think he'd die by lack of food, exhaustion or things like mistakes. Only reason the Chosen Undead get through it is because of infinite retries.

The skeletons in DS1 parry you and riposte. For most characters starting out, this is instant death. Link would be completely unprepared for that.

Look up lizalfos and stalfos fights for some good examples as well as most 2d Zelda's boss fight, oh and don't forget. Link has a laser he can fire from his sword.

They take virtually no damage from the starting slashing weapons and can instantly kill most characters with their parry & riposte.

They're a completely different caliber of enemy from most things found in LoZ.

Tons of first time players get parried by those skeletons, not knowing they can parry you. There's ********* of bloodstains all over the early areas where you can find parrying skeletons in both DS1 and DS2.

Most enemies in zelda have long periods where you cant attack them because of the fear of counterattack (parry). Spamming down enemies gets you killed

What? Link me a vid of this happening. I've never seen an invincibility frame counterattacking regular enemy in Zelda.

Its not the same exact thing I will admit but there is timing based combat where if you attack at the wrong time youll get counterattacked. Its not to the same degree as dark souls but its thee same mechanics that made souslike a thing in the first place.

Considering the skeleton mentions the game they're in by name, it's clearly not meant to be in-universe or immersive. Legend of Zelda doesn't prepare you for mooks that can effortlessly parry your attacks and instantly kill you. That's the joke.

maybe this isn't "MUH CRAWSOVAR!" but more "how a zelda fanboy would do in souls"

Except the first thing you do when you see a new enemy in zelda is z-lock it, shield up and strafe At least I do . Plus using Navi, or whatever helper you have, to get info on the enemy. I'd say the strategies aren't all that different, it's just dark souls is more punishing when you mess up.

as someone that plays skyrim in a stealth archer build on medium, and witcher 3 without bothering with potions
i would not survive darksouls for even a minute

Dude, Link is far to powerful. He is chosen by the gods. The Hero in Dark Souls is the Chosen Undead only in name. No one chose him. He is just an average joe who just keeps fighting on.

Dark Souls wasn't that bad.
It's definitely more difficult than the standard 'hand holding' games, but really, it's what game difficulty is supposed to be.
I don't know why everyone gets such big dicks about the fact they played a game with actual difficulty.

Can't parry his jump attack, his sword does insane damage, and he infinite stamina.
Link would be OP as **** in the dark souls universe.

Except there are tons of enemies that require timing in the 3D LoZ games. He might get ****** up once but assuming he respawns he would very easily adapt. Even if he doesn't he could probably adapt anyway.

What would Link's stat spread be like in Dark Souls?
I say he'd have a mostly dex build with some strength and faith mixed in.

Dex faith using a musical instrument to preform miracles, which deal fire or magic damage, and can do a couple of more unique things. He would have the master sword and hylian shield, the sword doing skyward strikes instead of heavy, and doing extra damage against demons. The shield would be OP nullifying Physical, Fire, Lightning, and Dark. Maybe being susceptible to magic since wizrobes have did magic fly through non-mirror shields in 2d games, but granting a stupidly high poise buff. He would have the hero armor, likely weighing next to nothing, but providing very low, but flat resistance. Like, 30% physical, fire, lightning, dark resistance. Most OP of all would be having certain rings, likely the blue AND red rings, reducing taken damage by 25% and 50% each, stacking for 75% damage. Then he'd have a ring that increases HP by a lot for every boss he defeats. And lastly, a hylian night ring, which gives him unlimited stamina. And likely having under 15% carry weight with all of these on. Oh and a powerful bow that notches and reloads REALLY FAST.

he would have an OP build. Given he has great stamina, health, strengh, magic use with magical items can walk on shallow lava though takes damage OOT. he can survive falls from death mountain and only lose a heart container.

As I said I think his build would be **** you I am being all of them.
