So after polling some results I decided to make my help guide on dark souls.
So lets start with the obvious, Capra demon.
This scary ************ is the capra demon. He is considered one of the tougher fights in dark souls but I discovered some #1 strats for him. When you enter the capra demon fight, a common misconception is that BOTH dogs agro too you, as well as capra himself. That is WRONG the second dog only agros when you go past more or less where the demon is standing at the start. If you step forward a bit, wait for the capra to jump, and move back, it will give you a lot of time to kill the first dog that agros. After that the fight becomes like 75% easier.
Next we have Anor londo, or to be specific the snipers. Now, there are 2 strats I find for this area. If you're a mage you can use hidden body by now, otherwise youll want to book it. If you just walk slowly up the final walk way, the sniper WILL NOT be able to hit you. If you time it perfectly after he shoots, you can make it from the top of the pillar to being able to lock onto the sniper. Once you lock on his arrows will NOT push you off the side and kill you.
A lot of people said they had problems working out where to go. Unfortunately its hard to make a guide on where to go, because these guides imply something that is difficult. And finding the way to go isnt really hard, its just a luck thing. I found where to go first time completely by mistake so I dont know.
A couple people asked for dogs, which I found weird. In 90% of situations in dark-souls you were able to fight the dogs 1 at a time, and when you werent you had a good environment. In ds 2-3 you can strafe left and right and the dogs attacks will fly past you. In ds 1 a mediocre shield is enough to block their damage and retaliate. I know in ds1 they jump back after attacking sometimes but they are a bit of a waiting game enemy.
Someone said the Prowling demons and I remember having to fight these things over and ******* over to get used to their movesets. Unfortunately there's no fantastic strats to killing these guys. In all the places you find them There are areas you can shoot them from wtihout their lightning hitting you, but if your not for cheap moves like that, get fantastic stamina and a 100% phy shield, or learn his moves and roll like a ********.
Finally we have Drake and jo- Ornstein and Smough. The iconically hard boss of the game, which weirdly no one commented on. This one had very few strats, unfortunately, and I have few also. The hardest part of this fight for me (i still struggle) is getting ornsteins armor. If you dont care about this however, you need to use the pillars in the room to your advantage like crazy. If you position right, smough shouldnt even be able to move without hitting a pillar. I manage to be the other side of the boss room smacking up his tiny electric friend while he walks at ******* pillars. Just figure out how to manipulate them around the pillars properly and the fight becomes as easy as 3 boss fights in a row can be.
Thank you guys for reading, Comment if it helped. Also comment what you struggled on in dark souls 2 since that is my next post in the works! Finally comment if i missed something out that you still need help with, Ill probably reply.
