Buffing damage sounds good and all but I don't think it's ever worked better for me than just using that turn for another attack.

Sometimes you need to buff your hard hitters to deal more damage when your current hero is pretty useless against the enemy or youre facing a boss.

Take people who can hit hard and either heal themselves or have some sort of healing ability. It's not great but it can work. Crusader, Leper, Abomination, Hellion and Houndmaster can all do this to some degree.

I'd rather have 1 attack at double damage than two attacks at normal damage. The more attacks you make the more likely you are to miss one.

no you've got it all wrong lets say you have a party of four that all do an attack of one hundred damage if all of them attack you have a fifty percent chance of doing 400 percent damage if you boost the one man but a fifty percent chance of doing zero conversely if all of them attack separately then you have a one in sixteen chance of doing four hundred percent damage but a fifteen in sixteen chance of doing at least one hundred percent damage the failure is almost completely averted

Except you won't have an attack at double damage. You'll have an attack at around 130% damage and it'll take double the moves.

and your plague doctor would probably only do about 30% percent of the damage your leper would do.
