Fact #11: What would have happened if Luigi didn't save mario.

Also, in the beta version, if you died and got a game over or failed to reach Mario in time, you would get this screen.

Goddamn it's creepy.

I played a bit of LM: Dark Moon, and it's an alright game. I made it past the house with all the plants and **** , is the game still good up until the end? I wanna finish it, but haven't tried it in a while.

I got bored with it after a while same **** over and over

I figured that would be the case once they mentioned there would be multiple mansions. All I could think was, " **** that, one's enough."
#18 to #8 - howboutyou (07/22/2014) [-]
It's worth for at least one thing, if not many others :

Some parts have you see an image and look for clues, and King Boo gives you a freaking jump scare when you least expect it

That right there is scary **** .

I liked Dark Moon, but not as much as the first one. Having to go back and forth to the same mansion made it feel... too Mario. It's supposed to be a Luigi game, but it felt like Mario Sunshine with how you couldn't get most of the missions done in one go. I felt it would have been much better if they gave you free reign over the mansion so you didn't have to go back and forth all the time.

The ending... was pretty meh. Not a surprising last boss and it was pretty easy and dull, all things considered. Fighting King Boo again was lame, and I was sad that none of the ghosts from the first game came back, at least that I can recall.

The game was still good, but it could have been better. I feel like it being 3D didn't really add much to it either, and having it on the 3Ds made it bothersome to play.

It also bothered me that the mansion Luigi starts at isn't the best mansion you could get. I felt he should have got that one, and maybe have had one of the ghosts from the first game flying around his house helping him out.

The fortune teller girl would have been nice to have, and maybe could have been something to go back to for 'hints' on what to do next.

Alright, I wasn't very invested, but in case there was some crazy twist I wasn't at yet, I didn't wanna give up on it.
#6 to #5 - bluemagebrilly ONLINE (07/22/2014) [-]
The biggest 'twist', I think, is how you get through some puzzles and that darn dog. I don't know if you saw the ghost dog yet, but he's a pretty consistent character.

Kind of annoying.

But yeah, most of the game was pretty good but not as good as the first. Still a good play if you ever get interested in it again.
User avatar #7 to #6 - samxdaxman (07/22/2014) [-]
I've seen the dog like, twice. Not nearly enough to make an impression on me. But thanks anyways, I might pick it up again if I'm bored.

Luigi's Mansion was the ******* best.

I beat that game so many times I can't even remember the count. Getting gold portraits for all of the ghosts was one of the best moments in my life.

FUN FACT: If you press the action button (can't remember if it's A or B---it's been a while since I GameCubed) while facing the full-length mirror in the mansion's foyer, it looks like Luigi's humping the **** outta the mirror.
User avatar #23 to #21 - KevinPutt (07/22/2014) [-]
Dude, he humps the **** out of everything. It's how he opened chests. Humped the **** out of it.
User avatar #28 to #21 - mastersaturday (07/22/2014) [-]
Another more useful one: if you examine any of the mirrors with the game boy, you'll teleport back to the parlor.

if i remember correctly from back when i got electronic gaming monthly, they had said the dust that luigi kicks up with his feet is actually thousands of tiny particles to make it actually look like....well dust. some poor japanese soul apparently spent 6 months working on the dust alone. seeing as im trying to cite an article that is around 13 years ago, sadly i have no sauce on that.

Fun Fact: Luigi's mansion ran only locked in 30 FPS, which means you can't unlock it even in emulation.
User avatar #14 to #12 - friedgreenpomatoes (07/22/2014) [-]
If it's in 30 FPS I don't think you need to unlock it.
#11 - anon (07/22/2014) [-]
people were also bitching about when it was announced, because it wasnt a mario game
