Sure, the 1920s thing is cool, but I kinda miss the charm the technologicaly inadvanced original series had. They used ink and brushes to write, bending to move vechicles, birds to send messages... And now they suddenly have cars, phones and printing presses. Well, you can't stop progress, I guess.

This is actually more of a Steampunk style of artwork in my humble opinion.

I appreciate the way their society changed. It kind of mirrored our own. We industrialized, so did they. The fire nation was half way there in the original, anyway. The other nations weren't because they had been ravaged by war. I think it makes sense. But I'd like to see Korra get back to the basics of being the Avatar. She sucks at spirituality.

I believe that's only the ex-fire nation colonies are like that.
we can see the southern water tribe stayed the same.
maybe the rest of the world didn't change as much/ changed differently...

I think that's the point of the series. It's meant to show you how technology is making bending almost obsolete, having it reduced to a simple sport. Nobody needs benders any more, where earth benders would have moved trains, now it's steam and electricity. The series is focusing on how the Avatar is supposed to fit in to this new world.

One reason why I think equalists are hypocritical dicks is because they use lots of technological **** like robots and electric stun gloves, but they get the power from the power plants which use electricity benders to make the electricity in the first place.

Yeah, you're right. And I know I probably should not compare the two shows, but I really miss the original =(

What if Amon isn't getting rid of bending, and he's just absorbing everyone's power so he'll be stronger than the avatar..?

Now I have some questions, not very related to content but I wanna see what you guys think:

1. What episode was the flashback where you see grown up Aang and Toph?
2. What would happen if the next Avatar reincarnation turned out to be twins?
3. Do you think Tenzin's wife might be an Equalist?

1) 3 or 4, and 6
2) The avatar is the spirit of the earth itself in mortal form. (kinda how like the ocean and moon spirits mortal form are koi fish) so only one of them would be the avatar
3) She might, but she doesnt really have a reason to resent benders

1) IDK sorry
2)since the Avatar Spirit is one entity I would say, only one of the twins would be the Avatar.
3)She married a Bender, and the son of the Avatar, I highly doubt it.
