Again, people are looking way to far into this, I think OP was just using the words science and atheist to apply to the common situation where a theist will deny scientific evidence that doesn't help prove their deity. This is common so it's makes sense.

^ actually this makes perfect sense sociologically. That does happen a lot in this particular term 'can your science explain that' is very commonly used in the debate particularly when someone starts presenting stupid cases with their religion at the heart of it. It's specifically targeted towards those hardcore religious believers who think their religion explains everything.
Although the title Sokka is atheist is kinda stupid.

Yes since it really doesn't have anything to do with religion, I think "Sokka is skeptic" would have been better but oh well. I can't really complain it gives me ********** to join in on.
