I think the fact Amon did "take" Lin's bending away is proof that it isn't permanent    
   
She's too important of a character for this to be her last appearance in an episode...if anything, I think Lin will figure out how to get her bending back

I think that the avatar korra will do the same thing with Lin's bending to give it back like aang did with the firelord to take it away.

And I agree it's his grandson

I'd say grandson, unless Zuko got a son in his old days.
He seems like he is in his 20s or something.
