I still don't trust the character.

I'm about 80% sure they played the 'this ******* person can not be trusted' villain jingle during her zoom-in.
User avatar #10 to #6 - gameless (08/23/2014) [-]
The way she introduced herself wasn't to trustworthy either.
User avatar #21 to #10 - sexyhimself (08/23/2014) [-]
and the fact that she wanted to join them to go get Korra, she was gonna sabotage them for sure.

they did the same with Lin's Sister but she turned out okay.

She even looks like the character.

This is zahir's voice actor; Henry rollins. I feel as though they want their characters to resemble the actors

I can see how she's Robin Williams' daughter

I have a bad feeling about that character though.
Generic soldier chick suddenly gets a name out of no where.
Suspiciously toned music on that zoom in shot of her...
Yeah.. bad ****** going to happen and she's going to be the cause of it..
User avatar #43 to #40 - beloth (08/24/2014) [-]
Her facial features seem pretty sinister too.

"I want to come with you"

Translates to "I want to come with you so I can ambush you from behind when you're fighting zaheer"

she was in this newspaper back in Zaofu and she popped up a lot when the Red Lotus tried to kidnap Korra.
User avatar #16 - samxdaxman (08/23/2014) [-]
This is kinda awkward, cuz Zaheer's voice actor(Henry Rollins) just condemned Robin WIlliams for killing himself...

I have the same fealing towards it as he sees it. I was sadden by his death but after i heard he killed himself i lost respect for this great man, whom in many of his films was to find the brighter side of things

Speeking of, henry rollins looks exactly like zaheer, who he plays
User avatar #30 to #26 - samxdaxman (08/24/2014) [-]
They definitely based the appearance of Zaheer on him.
#18 to #16 - majordeadpool (08/23/2014) [-]
Well, reading what he said I would be inclined to agree. Everything he said was based on empathy for Robin Williams' kids rather than aggression for the man himself.
User avatar #29 to #18 - samxdaxman (08/24/2014) [-]
I agree too, but imagine if your dad killed himself and someone you worked with said "I no longer take your dad seriously". It'd probably feel ****** . Maybe not you personally, but Zelda probably feels somewhat offended.
#95 to #29 - anon (12/09/2014) [-]
She wasn't offended....

Spoiler: She became Kuvira.
User avatar #31 to #29 - majordeadpool (08/24/2014) [-]
She might, but who is to say she how she felt about the whole ordeal. She could be sad, furious, probably both. I get your point, but I don't think the comment is that harsh.
User avatar #32 to #31 - samxdaxman (08/24/2014) [-]
It's not that harsh, but it's gotta be a bit awkward.

yeah, but didn't all the voicing/production stuff happen a while back?

I'd expect the series had been finished before Robin Williams died.
User avatar #7 to #5 - historia (08/23/2014) [-]
It did, but in my opinion that makes the coincidence even sweeter.
#47 - disies (08/24/2014) [-]
Man I still can't watch his movies without getting depressed.
#24 - commanderbunbun (08/23/2014) [-]
that's really freaking neato and all, but robin williams died 11 days before the episode aired. this show isn't like south park, it takes time to animate, even if it's just a few short scenes. plus i doubt her first thoughts after losing her father where "i'm gonna go guest star on a nick show!"

i think Zelda was just a fan who wanted to be on the show, and the scene with her saving a father figure was just a sad coincidence. Serena Williams made a similar appearance as Iroh's prison gaurd in Book 3 Fire. avatar.wikia.com/wiki/Serena_Williams

Oddly enough, they're both named Williams and guest starred in Book 3s

A less sweet thing about it is that Henry Collins, the voice actor of Zaheer, publicly criticized Robin Williams's suicide. The two must have had fun at the studio.
#37 to #33 - cookiedude (08/24/2014) [-]
They recorded the voices long before Robin committed suicide.

On a sweeter note for myself, I can truly hate not only the character, but also the voice.

User avatar #87 to #33 - cantfindausername (08/24/2014) [-]
I can't find anything about that on Google. Where did you get that information?
User avatar #90 to #88 - cantfindausername (08/24/2014) [-]
Different guy?
User avatar #91 to #90 - alleksi ONLINE (08/24/2014) [-]
same guy
User avatar #92 to #91 - cantfindausername (08/24/2014) [-]
Henry Rollins was the guy who criticized Robin's death, not Collins, though.

yes and henry rollins is the voice of Zaheer www.imdb.com/name/nm0738433/ that was a typo in my original post.
User avatar #39 to #33 - Nazistick (08/24/2014) [-]
I see he's a villain in Real life as he is in the show.
User avatar #19 - Druadh (08/23/2014) [-]
That first picture looks like a 90's version of the show.
#35 to #19 - anon (08/24/2014) [-]

I know, but I thought that would be distracting.
User avatar #34 to #25 - shadowsmartyr (08/24/2014) [-]
No, I'm pretty sure it's just Zelda.

I've only watched the first few episodes of this season. I heard that this season goes more in depth about Metal Benders, is that true?
User avatar #73 to #72 - historia (08/24/2014) [-]
Well they established that platinum could not be metal bent, which was a necessary plot point for when Korra was captured since she had become the first metal bending avatar. I believe it was said that metal is transformed by readjusting the atoms within the material, which is why the composition of the metal effects what types of metal can be bent.
#75 to #73 - ionclawz (08/24/2014) [-]
A bit nitpicky but we've known since the first season that platinum is too pure to metal bend when Korra and company found Mr. Sato's underground equalist armory.
User avatar #58 - greyswordsman (08/24/2014) [-]
so how good ARE metal benders anyway?
i love metal (steel type pokemon, steel factories, etc). so i like
the idea of metal benders, but i dont watch the show so i wouldn't know
User avatar #59 to #58 - historia (08/24/2014) [-]
Well they carry special metallic wire gear that allows them to scale mountains and zipline through cities at free will (think Attack on Titan 3dmg, but automatic). They can rip steel beams from buildings and create barriers that are much stronger than the rocks that regular earth benders are able to control.

That being said, metal benders are unique earthbenders, so they can also control Earth when there is a lack of metal of when it's the better option. (ie, when fighting against firebenders).

They're pretty ******* awesome.

Metal benders are great, they are the pinnacle of earth-benders aside from lava benders, anything metal they can bend to any form they wish, they also have awesome rods they can use to swing around town and catch villains kind of like spidermans webs

Question: Why save him if shes a red lotus member? I mean she could've let him fall and no one would know she let it happen
