The narrator is one of the reasons Halo has best multiplayer.

I remember there was a glitch where you would get the 10th kill in a banshee by running them over, every kill with the banshee after that gave you the "VEHICULAR MANSLAUGHTER" medal, I abused that glitch very much

Honestly, I thought this was the most shocking part of the entire finale.

Now, having watched all the episodes, I have to say it was a great first season, and I'd give it an 8.7/10

But there were some serious letdowns, namely:

-Korra got her bending back, which I don't mind if maybe it was in a later season or something, but for her to just "go Avatar state and everything is fixed" was kind of lame and really dampened the emotional impact of her getting her bending taken away. The same goes for giving it back. It's basically like Amon wasn't a threat from the start.

-No betrayal from Asami. I was desperately hoping for Asami to ditch the gang and become an independent party (and possible antagonist) for the second season. But instead she seems to all of a sudden be hunky dory with Mako completely shafting her.

-AND THIS IS THE MOST ANNOYING ONE.

-There was no resolution to the actual problem, that benders do possess an unnatural advantage and what exactly Korra was going to do fix the exploitation of non-benders. She had no internal conflicts, no deep introspection, nothing. Just "Amon is evil, gotta take him down".

don't forget that Hiroshi is still alive and there are probably strong equalists feelings throughout the city that could unite again. With a new leader and the force of Hiroshi (if he is released) then a whole new threat could appear in the next season

Are you kidding? A non bender holds one of the highest ranks in the entire military. Non benders and benders do live in harmony, it's very few benders who actually abuse their abilities.
#28 to #24 - Rascal (06/25/2012) [-]
Not really. Though it was never announced, if you think about it, it's obvious that Benders get the easy life. Benders have all the abilities of non-benders, plus new ones. Benders should in that sense, have many more available job options, and should have an easier time climbing to power. The only non-benders with high ranks that we've seen is Bumi, and his relation to Aang would have pulled some strings.
User avatar #29 to #28 - pukingrainbows (06/25/2012) [-]
Benders are expected to do work that nonbenders cannot do, that is the only advantage the are just given. There are plenty of nonbender military officers, rich men and politicians and plenty of destitute benders. You're acting like benders just gang up on nonbenders, as opposed to policing themselves. The only advantage benders have is that they can do manual labor and other mindless job easier than non benders. Wit is the driving force behind power, and that is not granted by throwing rocks around.
#31 to #29 - Rascal (06/25/2012) [-]
I understand the whole "brains over brawn" thing and agree with it, but to put is simply it isn't exactly that same concept in the working world. If Bender's can do the working jobs MUCH easier than non benders, than theoretically more Benders should be hired. You saw it yourself with Mako's job at lightning bending for power, the most popular sport for the city being an only Bender's sport, etc. I'm sorry to have gotten off as completely opposite there; I do agree with you on the side that nonbenders are a huge part of society too, and still have many high roles, but all major characters other than Salami and her family were benders...

But technically now that we know that Korra give people their bending again, can't she just give anybody any one bending ability? I mean, it's another unproven thing, and I doubt she would take the time, but thanks to the Avatar's holy judgement, she does have a lot of leeway.

And on the side note, even if the society is corrupted, EVENTUALLY guns and other types of sciences will come around (that's how it worked for the real world; archery = good, cannons = good, guns = good, same historical concept with the industrial revolution), so bending will eventually lose a lot of superiority, and the most efficient way to deal with anything would be so that just about everyone can do it. After all, Satomobiles, the blimps, and airplanes pretty much revolutionized travelling in general, so when cranes and other machines become invented, bending won't be such a high card anymore...

but who knows.

the main problem for me was, when korra had her bending taken away, it was way too quick. it should have been slower and more dramatic like the first time he took away someones bending on Zolt. And yes, they shouldnt have just given her bending back so quickly

-If they made Korra have to get her bending back over time, it would have been great for a new series. Instead of having the problems of a hundred year war and having to work while in hiding, she'd have to find the spiritual way of getting her bending back, which would have been harder than simply mastering the elements (because no one knew if it was possible). So she would have to spend a lot of time in the spirit world, meet new people, and travel to new places, which is fine since so much has changed since Aang's time. And all of this would have been nostalgic; she had to start with only air bending again with no idea of what she's going to do, she could have visited well known places and see what's changed, learned new things, met new people, etc. It would have been great. But **** the fans.

-I agree somewhat; at the very least, Asami gave up everything (LITERALLY) and still didn't get Mako, while Korra for some ******* reason did. That also just ***** Bolin over; he was the only nice one to Korra from the beginning, and had a genuine love interest in her. Mako was a dick when he first met her, already had Asami when things brew up too. So pretty much they just THROW AWAY BOLIN AND ASAMI. After the whole Mako-Korra Kiss when Bolin was heartbroken, he literally lost all importance to the series; nothing but the jokester.

-Really. Even if Amon took Lin's bending and was supposedly "evil", I never thought him as bad. I thought he was like Batman; he brought his idea of justice without ever killing anyone and was not supported by the law. He really didn't do anything evil; he took bending away, not lives; he just brought people down to his level (or at least the "basic" level), and he was just in doing so, since the benders were corrupt with power.

-I agree with Korra getting her **** back so quickly. I wouldn't have minded having her only airbend while shes in her regular state and only have the ability to cast all elements while in the avatar state.

-I honestly don't wanna see her turn into a bitch, so I'm okay with what happened

-2nd season...? Idk.

2nd season already announced, it's 14 episodes long.

- I have been told countless of times that LoK was only supposed to be a mini series. it was supposed to only last for book 1 but nickelodeon ordered at least a second season. had the writers known that they got more than 1 season to work with, they wouldn't have done it this way but since they wrote it with the mindset of "after ep 12 there's no more LoK", this was the only way to do it within 12 episodes. of course amon was a threat. he was a very intimidating villain trough the whole series. no one KNEW that korra could restore bending, not even the viewers (although many speculated it...but once there are 1000 theories about different things, some of them are bound to be true) . until the very end of episode 12 every one thought that korra and others wouldn't get their bending back. sure if you now re watch the series, amon wont feel like a threat

-Some people are not capable of doing evil. she saw what a terrible person her father was so that's a pretty good motivation NOT to betray them. mako and asami also broke up peacefully when they had the "I care for you" -talk. also they didn't have the time to expand the plot any further

-I'm sure this will be handled in season 2, or in some comic books
