Did anyone else found {SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER}

Amon's death to be really sad? I mean he was a douche but by what I understood, he was crying of joy because he was going to live with his brother. I guess that was Tarlock's redemption but still ,its some sad **** .

That was way more brutal than I expected from Nick. Really fantastic way to end the season.

I think that's the first death ever in the Avatar series. I mean there were other deaths but they were just implied or just not showed.

Yeah Jet and Zhao died, but technically neither of them really died on screen, though it was made abundantly clear that both weren't coming back.
Amon's death there was really quite shocking for a children's show.

I didn't even remember that Zhao died, I though he was just pwned. And well in the Jet scene there was a little hope that he could live.

Yeah Zhao got pulled underwater by the Ocean Spirit in the season 1 finale and then he never came back up. Jet's death was less clear, but the creators confirmed it after that season ended.

That's my point, death's aren't usually as clear as this one on the avatar series .

I know! I cried when Tarlock did what he did. I felt bad for Tarlock their past together was so sad. And Amon got all emotional and he actually seemed human.
Though there is still that mystery of how Amon can take bending away with bloodbending.

I actually stopped hating Tarlok in this episode , I just felt bad for him and Amon. I think he just blocks a chakra or maybe there is a part of the body ,like a nerve , related to bending that he blocks. But that scene at the boat ...it gave me some serious feels D:

He was a prodigy, and judging from how Korra went all avatar spiritual state, I'm assuming it has something to do with the chakras.

Can't wait to see Season 2 and what obstacles they're going to throw at her now that she has all 4 elements as well as spirit bending

Yeah I know I really wanted to give Tarlok a hug! And then I just lost it when Tarlok blew up the boat.
I love how this whole Amon era ended in just 10 episodes. They get to the point lol

Notice that he cries, he knows what Tarrlok is going to do, so he might have used a watershield like Tarrlok did the episode he took Korra, to save himself. Or he could've just died, either way, feels were had.

I think he was just crying of joy because he could finally leave everything behind and live with his brother.

I think he's crying because he knew what tarrlok was going to do, and/or because of the words tarrlock said before he blew up the boat.
