Me: "Assassin' s Creed 2 is a video game. Rio does not exist. He never existed. Now
many other characters in the games are based on true historical figures, like the
Borgia-"
Student: "No, he was real! The entire series is based on a true story!"
Me: *looks student in the eyal "NOTHING is true. Everything is permitted."

Every time any AC content is posted, this picture is posted with it.

It ALWAYS gets dozens of thumbs.

And I'm totally okay with this.

Conner had as much charisma as a dead dog. AC3 was ****
User avatar #113 to #84 - messerauditore (10/02/2013) [-]
Clearly you didn't understand him as a character. Not everyone is going to be the same as Ezio. If they made every new assassin a clone of him, the series would be even more repetitive than people already claim. You wouldn't have much charisma either if you lived the life Connor did. Constantly fighting for a goal he's constantly given doubts about reaching, watching his village burned, as his mother is burned alive and crushed to death by falling debris. Not to mention the fact that his father's order was behind it in the first place. Don't assume you know everything about him because you clearly haven't scratched the surface.

Omg dude go away. AC3 is universally known as a bad game. I understood the ******* plot Jesus

Connor was better than a Call of Duty main character.

Totally understand, a girl in my biology class was convinced that cocoa butter was actually made of butter and that it was kept with all the other butter.

Remember when you first turn on the game and the screen says "This a work of fiction inspired by a group of multicultural faiths and beliefs" or something like that? Yeah, that kinda means IT'S NOT REAL. With an exception of certain groups, characters, and events, of course.
User avatar #83 to #35 - manwithmanynames (10/01/2013) [-]
I think it said "created by a group of multiple faiths and cultures," don't hold me to that though. But you're right, not everybody shown was an assassin or templar. And most didn't have anything to do with either group.
#137 to #83 - captaintoasty (10/02/2013) [-]
Yeah, that's what i meant i haven't played the game in a while so i can't really remember what it says then. But thanks for clarifying anyway.
User avatar #141 to #137 - manwithmanynames (10/03/2013) [-]
Although, if the assassin's really were that black and white good guys, I would try to part of that group myself. Too bad assassins were never really the straight forward good guys...

Hey guys this thing happened in which I said this thing or they said this thing about a thing that only we like and it's a thing that they usually wouldn't talk about, but since we all like it, i hope this story will be good enough , I guess idk.

some video games are true though like how john-117 led the spartans to victory even though they were greatly outnumbered.

I'm taking a class on the Italian Renaissance right now. My professor, a 60 year old Dutch man, straight up said the first day that he's a fan of the Assassin's Creed series, and that the series has captured the architecture, dress, and historical space of the Italian Renaissance very well.

I think the father and mother were real, if I recall correctly... I might be wrong, I think just a wealthy merchant couple.

All their kids were real too, but their live's were a mystery, hence why they were used for the games.
