Assassins creed taught me some **** about history. For one, I had no idea the ottoman empire had guns, and I also didnt know that the ottoman empire lasted so long.

Guns have been around since the late 1200s, and the Ottoman Empire lasted until WW1.

By guns do you mean cannons or actual handheld guns?

handheld guns. They started off as basically a tube with a hole in the top you put a match to. No trigger, no firing mechanism, essentially a lethal roman candle

Ahh yes, I see what you mean. I forgot that that kind of gun existed.

Coincidentally, the Ottoman empire was the first empire to use gun powder for firearms, and used this advantage to defeat the byzantine empire.

Slightly unrelated fact, the Chicago Cubs baseball team hasn't won a world series since before the fall of the Ottoman Empire.

Exactly, I didnt know (roughly) those things untill I played assassins creed.

To be far, thats only because I played assassins creed before I took AP world history.
