since this is a lost post, and i'm seeing a lot of people complaining about the end, i'd like to clear things up with people. Everyone on the flight DID NOT die on impact. The island was not purgatory, it actually existed. The church they were in was when everyone was dead, some during the time of the show, some possibly hundreds of years after, in the case of Hurley becoming Jacob. When Jack's father says "everybody dies," he isn't saying that everybody was dead during the show, he is just telling jack that death in unavoidable.

inb4 i get a sea of red for calling people out on something

Lost was a trainwreck.

I loved the path they had with the sci fi mystery but everything just went haywire and yada yada who the **** knows what.

jack dies in the last episode. Hurley stays on the island and becomes the next jacob, Ben stays with him. Kate, sawyer, claire, and the pilot(blanking on his name) are seen flying off the island, so i assume they go back home and live their lives. The church is the afterlife, for those who died on the show and those who died way after

but the island will always be calling for sawyer and the others to come back.

Normal life will never be the same.

if i remember correctly the reason why it was calling them was to get a replacement for Jacob. Hurley did that, so i don't think Kate and sawyer and everybody is needed anymore.
