1) People were literally going crazy enough to kill their own classmates to end the curse, ignoring the building on fire isnt that unexpected.
2) Misaki was being treated as if she didnt exist by the whole class, and they didnt know until the end that killing the dead person would end the curse prematurely until the very end. Even if she told them who was dead, they wouldnt know what to do.
3) Akazawa was going to tell him, but he met Misaki before she did, and the curse was happening anyway, Misaki's twin sister was the first death of the curse.
4) This is actually valid, they really should have shut down the school.

1.before anyone but the main characters knew about the "send the dead back to the dead" thing, no one gave a **** about that fire in the dining hall
2. They already knew that treating the dead person like they didn't exist would prevent the calamity, as it was explained way earlier in the show. She still didn't tell anyone though.
3. It still doesn't make sense that no one told the new kid about the rules, and just sat back as he broke the **** out of them, and then later get mad at him for it
