I tend to want to think I'll see this on the front page but it's probably because I think so that this wont end up going that far. So for anyone who makes it here just take it. Just take all the pictures.

Lel. I also find it kinda funny I made this GIF a while ago under an account I long since deleted.

I posted it in **** and someone edited out the "reversegif.com" watermark and someone has since sped it up.

Funny to me to see it making it's rounds.

I'm touched.

not from what I heard, the story is not far along and almost all of the released novels were covered by the first season.

Apparently the Koreans are pretty bitchy about it too, apparently the anime insulted some of their culture and stuff but I fail to see where...

The size of a mouth in anime is proportional to the loudness of the character. Shiina is a very quiet character.

That would be glorious. I still can't decide whether which girl would be best for him though. I think I would go with Nanami though. I mean, she's just too cute!

I agree. It's easy to feel how he felt at the beginning, and it showed that hard work doesn't always guaranty success. But you get back up and try again, because it's the only thing you can do. Also, it showed how cute Nanami is in a maid outfit lol

It reflects real life so hard. You make progress through a series of failures but you'll be deemed to fail if you stop trying. I particularly like Mashiro because my dream is to be working in a field related to Manga/CG. Sadly I'm not even 1/100 as good as her but I'd still keep practicing to keep the dream alive.
Also motivated me to buy a dakimakura :^) to keep my dream alive ofc

I liked all 23 episodes and I'm truly happy that they left open ending.

I wouldn't stand it if the main character chose anyone else than Nanami and she would have to go back with 2 years wasted and empty handed, being the most hard-working and honest girl. I'm so happy that it ended right after the graduation ceremony.
User avatar #31 to #28 - goldenfairy (06/13/2014) [-]
She didn't do a single thing to get close to him. She doesn't deserve it imo.
User avatar #32 to #31 - bestfoxgirl (06/13/2014) [-]
She told him she loved him. She backed off when he didn't respond- scene on a bike. Also, she was always there for him and it was pretty obvious she was in love with him. Trying to help with Mashiro was something too. (I'm still too afraid to watch 24th episode even though I completed the series twice)
#54 to #32 - anon (06/13/2014) [-]
The 24th episode still leaves it open. The first half is just everyone going home or off to handle business over the break until only 2 of them are left. The second half is some new students moving into the dorm and their first impressions of it, then it goes into full montage mode without him hooking up with either one.
User avatar #33 to #32 - goldenfairy (06/13/2014) [-]
I know she moved in into same dorm, but I do not remember confession scene. I believe she helped Mashiro only to keep him away or be a little closer to him (maybe both) and maybe because it's not quite right for a guy to help girl put on clothes/shower/etc.

Actually wait... Is that when she was sick and late for voice actress audition? Didn't he think she was just practising her dialogue?
User avatar #34 to #33 - bestfoxgirl (06/13/2014) [-]
I still think it was a very big help, not something that just anyone could do. Mashiro didn't even do anything for him, so I don't think you can say that Nanami didn't do enough.

Well, there were 2 situations like this. 1st when she was sick, she didn't confess. 2nd audition was when she was going to be late, Kanda borrowed a bike from a guy who loved her and picked her up. Then she confessed, but seeing how Kanda reacted, she dismissed the thing as a mere dialogue practice.
User avatar #35 to #34 - goldenfairy (06/13/2014) [-]
I don't think he expected much from Mashiro since he knew she lacks even common knowledge like paying for stuff in shop or wearing underwear. He spent working on his game design while thinking about her and helped out with manga. Being together is all that's required and Nanami couldn't do that despite being in same class.
User avatar #39 to #35 - bestfoxgirl (06/13/2014) [-]
True that he didn't expect anything from Mashiro, and her approach was rather blunt 'stop being on my mind all the time!', problem is, it was always him helping Mashiro, never the other way around. Nanami on the other hand was truly concerned about him. It was clearly visible that she wanted to help him however she could. She worked her hands to the bone despite the lack of natural talent, that's what was important to me.
User avatar #41 to #39 - goldenfairy (06/13/2014) [-]
Well I won't reject her efforts but I don't think she's done it right. She indeed was worried about him, but that was way too little contact. I think Mashiro will grow into someone capable of caring. It'll just take time.

Also, I find it weird how you haven't watched last episode, I cannot calm down unless I finish whole thing.
User avatar #42 to #41 - bestfoxgirl (06/13/2014) [-]
Well, I think she did it all too well. She wasn't as needy and egoistic as Mashiro, who just went straight to Sorata. Nanami wanted his happiness even above hers, unlike Mashiro she loved him enough to put his needs above her personal ones. Mashiro just went in like a tank and almost 'demanded' to be loved. Nanami was more... considerate.

I know that Nanami lost, I knew it from the start, it's pretty obvious. I just don't want to see it, because it would be too unfair for me. I really, really liked Mashiro, but I feel that if she stole Sorata just-like-that without any effort, I'd lose all my sympathy for her. For Nanami to lose everything despite all her efforts while everyone else 'won'... it just doesn't really feel right. I wanted to take on 24th episode in my 2nd approach but when I saw it all again, I just couldn't.
User avatar #43 to #42 - goldenfairy (06/13/2014) [-]
That is a fact, but you're forgetting that Mashiro isn't quite normal. She made a step forward, even if it seems somewhat rude, while Nanami was too afraid of direct approach and mostly kept watching over him, and when she finally managed to confess, she ran away by playing it off as practice instead of making her feelings clear and getting proper answer.
User avatar #51 to #43 - bestfoxgirl (06/13/2014) [-]
Well, it seemed like she was afraid because Sorata reacted in an... unexpected way. As for Mashiro not being normal... it occured to me, that she was a bit egoisitc with Sorata, and she might not even know what love is. Like she just wanted him like a toy. Back to Nanami- she kept watching over him, exactly. That's why she deserved him more. She truly cared about him and she could show it without that straightforward- wrecking ball approach. She was very considerate, and I think it wasn't Nanami's fault for not showing her love, but Sorata's for not seeing it.
User avatar #55 to #51 - goldenfairy (06/13/2014) [-]
Mashiro had no experience with people and her common sense was lacking to the point of autism/retardness. Through whole series she lacks emotions altogether, not only love. However she made her wish to be with Sorata very clear.

As for Nanami... You see, I've never been in love, but I watched a lot anime with similar characters - female is in love with a male but somehow it's his fault for not noticing. Same happens to guys but at least they never blame the girl, or at least I don't remember such situation. That's why I believe it is Nanami's fault for her unsuccessful secret crush. Even if they were dating by the time Mashiro appeared Sorata would still take care of her leading to breaking up and then Sorata would become emotionally dependant on Mashiro. End result is same.

I think this thread is going to hit reply limit soon.

When Nanami and sorata where chasing after mashiro to the subway. Nanami confessed her love to sorata, but she knew sorata didnt like her back in that way and she let him go knowing sorata and mashiro like each other. Thats what I got out of that scene. She had to let go something she

It would make sense with the rest of the story : in love like in arts, the genius wins over the hardworking one in the end. Even though honestly I think Mashiro worked pretty hard for Sorata too, for her standards.
User avatar #50 to #45 - bestfoxgirl (06/13/2014) [-]
Well, she was too hasty, and needy. It looked like she just 'wanted' Sorata for herself, rather than loving him.
User avatar #56 to #50 - feupy (06/13/2014) [-]
Hm, I don't know, at the airport and at Christmas she looked pretty in love and eager to make Sorata happy... But maybe I'm wrong, I'm totally biased when it comes to Mashiro so...

I honestly think it's kind of disrespectful while some people enjoy this type of content, like I do. Just because you disagree with something doesn't mean you have to go on a full on hate spree. You're a mod too for god's sake instead of trolling the site's community why don't you do something productive. You're honestly making people mad with your attention seeking/trolling/hating attempts and pushing them away from the site. I get that you don't like Anime and all, that's your opinion. If it's successful enough, it should.

The story goes on in the Light Novel series after all.

Though the translators haven't translated past the anime yet.
So I don't understand how some ****** have already read until the end, unless they have decided to learn Japanese purely for the sake of reading mangas and light novels.
