36 accounts @ $15/month means that he is paying $540 every month to play the game or $6480 over a year. I realize that there are discounts if you sign up for more than a month at a time, but that's still ridiculous.
User avatar #22 to #12 - chryssis (09/30/2013) [-]
If you choose to go out, drink, party and whatnot in your free time, im pretty sure you'd spend less money than he does. Its just what he likes to spend his money and time on, just like someone else would on their hobby or whatever.

$15 a month on a game from 2004 that has ****** graphics and grindy game play is ridiculous...

A tech geek that can afford that many computers in the first place probably has a 6 figure income dude. he could afford to buy a new car every month or two.

This is nothing.

A guy in Team Fortress 2 named "Sir TF2" had 4,200 accounts which he idled with to get free items.

He spent I think it was $17,000 opening those accounts. He was later banned by Valve for this. He wrote to them asking why and also stated he was planning to expand his idle accounts to 10,000 by the end of the year.

For any TF2 players, he's the biggest reason Valve took action against idling and basically changed the programming of the game so idling would be pretty much impossible.
User avatar #128 to #48 - trivdiego (09/30/2013) [-]
howd they change the programming of the game?
#133 to #128 - meatboy (09/30/2013) [-]
Im not an expert in programming, but since they basically made the game, they could also change it? Also I think they changed it via an update
#140 to #128 - craxxet ONLINE (09/30/2013) [-]
They inserted a cap of the number of hours each week (reset every thursday i believe) that you could gain an item or a hat by playing.

It wasn't made impossible, just a heck of a lot less effective, Valve doesn't take action against idlers today except if they use a 3rd party program to do it.

Nah the most recent update made it impossible.

What happens now is, when you get a drop, you must click "Okay, resume game". If you don't do this, your item drops will pause and you won't receive any more drops until you do click "Okay, resume game".

This means you have to be actively at your computer, you can no longer leave your character in an idle server, making idle servers completely useless now.

Here are quotes from the blog released on July 17 2013.

"Is responding to in-game drop notifications while not utilizing external programs to do so."
"Players will simply have their item drops paused. Item drops will return when normal play is resumed."

So that's basically it, you have to click "okay, resume game" after each drop now. Otherwise your drops pause.
User avatar #182 to #158 - trivdiego (09/30/2013) [-]
how recent was the update? cause ive seen that for months now.
#189 to #182 - MrOblivious (10/01/2013) [-]
About a month yeah.

I say recent because the he was talking about the idling cap as the solution, which was back in 2010 I think.

He was unaware of the 2013 update. The blog for this update was posted on July 17 2013. But the update was actually brought out about a week before the blog post announcing this change.
User avatar #139 to #48 - rokkarokkaali (09/30/2013) [-]
Can't you just idle after joining a game? Or do people just go masturbate and leave their characters to do nothing?

because even in MMO's people are becoming antisocial. I even avoid playing with other people because of the number of trolls I encounter in the game. I get tired of the same sexual innuendos, Internet fads, and jokes. Playing with people on MMO's has become a life of generic memes/jokes and irritation.

He just uses the extra PC's to power most of the games he has open with his characters, which are connected to the main PC in a way that lets him duplicate key inputs from his main character to his other ones. So basicly yeah, he does play 11 computers at once, but just not in the way you'd think.

ASIANS CAN ACTUALLY READ MINDS!!!!!!!!!!!!
They can hear, and see what you're visually thinking.
THIS IS NOT A JOKE OR A MEME! This is the absolute complete truth!!!!!

Asians hide their mind reading abilities by a lot of them having completely expressionless faces so they don't accidentally show facial expressions when people think things they don't like, find funny, astonishing, etc, and Asians segregate so their not nearly as susceptible to that happening.
Asians also segregate, and are untalkative to avoid accidentally saying things that are similar to what people are thinking and going to say.

Try thinking, and visually picturing things that are as wild as you can when you are around Asians, and look for Asians who give people dirty/particular looks for what appears to be for completely no reason, it works when you try enough!!!

PLEASE SPREAD THE MESSAGE!!!!! THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW THIS!!!!!

It's an essential tool to have; Quickly rotate 3D objects and such.

I just don't think there's much conventional use outside of that. Maybe, and that's one hell of a maybe, you could use it for MMOs... Although if you're not doing what Bradster does, where your entire life revolves around MMOs, then there probably isn't much use in owning a trackball mouse like that.
