I haven't watched or heard much about Brotherhood. How is it in comparison to the original FMA series?
#183 to #172 - ironstrike (12/28/2012) [-]
The original FMA had sort of a cliffhanger ending. They strayed too far away from the original manga, while leaving out important characters and events.

FMA: Brotherhood is a fresh start. It actually has a definitive ending and it won't leave you expecting a second season for years.

Once you start watching it you'll definetely forget about the original FMA. FMA: Brotherhood makes the original look like a piece of crap.

Not to mention that in Brotherhood they skip most of the events that occured in the original, like the gold mine overtaking.

far better, basically brotherhood sticks more to the manga and has a fairly satisfying ending.

Here you go...

Basically, her father 'transformed [ ******** ] her' to save his job contract.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG story short, this girl's deranged and demented father basically fused his OWN DAUTHER and her dog together to create the animal you see.

Watch Full Metal Alchemist for the full experience!
User avatar #158 to #151 - BrotherofSteel (12/27/2012) [-]
It's from a manga/anime named Fullmetal Alchemist. That girl was ********** into a chimera, fused with her own dog by her father. Shou Tucker was a state alchemist who needed to show advancements with his research or his title and funds would be taken. The year before (or two I don't remember exactly) he did that to his wife, creating a speaking chimera and gaining his license; her wife later died of starvation (I don't remember exactly).

He selfishly did that to her daughter to keep his license, Ed (the guy in the gif) noticed his doing, and reported it to the authorities.

I really recommend you watch this show, FMA: Brotherhood is the anime that follows the manga.

Alchemy isnt really Science. More like proto-science.

So I never got around to watching brotherhood

Did she and the dog meld together or something?
User avatar #181 to #148 - darknesincontrol (12/28/2012) [-]
I believe she was also in the original anime of fullmetal alchemist
#157 to #148 - anonymous (12/27/2012) [-]
The dad turned them into a chimera because he was trying to keep his funding by making another chimera that could talk. He made his first one by using his wife his second by using his daughter and her pet dog. Brotherhood is better then the original.
User avatar #169 to #157 - vorrundenaus (12/27/2012) [-]
So tell me should I rewatch the original before I go on to brotherhood or just go right along?
It's been awhile since I've watched the show at all and I've probably missed a few episodes.
