I've said it before and I'll say it again, time you spend making yourself happy is not time wasted. Happiness is a valuable thing, if you find something that makes you happy don't think for a second it's a waste of time, never let anybody tell you different.

Truer words never spoke. Time enjoyed being wasted is not time wasted.

If I want to be unproductive and a worthless pile of uselessness, as long as I'm having fun and not hurting people then who gives a **** ?

I actually just finished the whole series about an hour ago. I still don't understand what the **** the ending was all about...

Are the movies any clearer in their endings?
User avatar #184 to #169 - berkut (08/29/2013) [-]
I will tell you what an anon told me about Rebuild and End of Evangelion.

Watch EoE and then Rebuild so you can have your own conclusion, then there is when **** is going down. And I assure you that **** will go down.
User avatar #172 to #169 - fizzor (08/29/2013) [-]
Just watch The End of Evangelion. It was made purely because fans demanded an ending to the series that actually makes sense.
#183 to #172 - berkut (08/29/2013) [-]
Not even the EoE ending was clear in a character development way. What I wanted to know was if the characters will solve their problems. Rei to be happy, Asuka to find peace with her mother's death, Shinji to man the **** up, that kind of stuff. I give a **** about the psychological crap, I just wanted them to be happy, that is all I want.

And instead of that, I get this.

pic related.

actualy hidaaki anno(i hope i got his name right) knew(when he was halfway done with the series) that he he was going to make the movies it had nothing to do with budget or the fans. now the new "rebuild of evangelion" is probably encouraged by the fans, but i dont know to much about that

Has anyone watched this anime, taken a look at the main character and thought to themselves-

" **** , that's exactly what I do."

Because I do that a lot.

People talk about it as if it's a bad thing. A day enjoyed in life is a day well spent. Productivity? Sorry but all your productivity won't matter one bit when you die. Just enjoy life to the fullest while it lasts. Now if you do this by being productive, sure, go ahead, but don't bitch about people not being productive.
User avatar #113 to #112 - thatoneiranianguy ONLINE (08/29/2013) [-]
If they become a detriment to society then I think we can bitch about them.
User avatar #115 to #113 - herbolifee (08/29/2013) [-]
But how? No work = no money = no gaming / anime. Sure, when they're young their parent can help them get that, but we all have to grow up sometime, there's no real choise in that.
User avatar #116 to #115 - thatoneiranianguy ONLINE (08/29/2013) [-]
You're not making much sense, in your comment your supporting people that are not productive but yet are saying they will have to grow up sometime?
User avatar #118 to #116 - herbolifee (08/29/2013) [-]
I'm just trying to say that if you can get yourself these things to enjoy yourself, you should be able to enjoy yourself days without being productive, yet people talk about that as if it's a bad thing. You know, the typical: Do something productive with yer time!
User avatar #119 to #118 - thatoneiranianguy ONLINE (08/29/2013) [-]
Well, when you're a kid, that's fine. You're not supposed to be too productive or have too many responsibilities.

But if you're an adult and you're sitting there watching anime all day long, don't have a job, not making any money. Then you're just useless waste that's not contributing to anything. Because those people usually land themselves on welfare checks which become a detriment to society.

I'm not an adult quite yet, a year away, but I play a lot of video games but I'm a very productive person. Before you're an adult its more of a choice to get a job but you probably should work towards it in your later young adult life.
User avatar #121 to #119 - herbolifee (08/29/2013) [-]
I agree. I'm a young adult myself who's about to finish college, and I'm determined to get a decent job afterwards. I also agree that if you end up on welfare because you're too lazy to work, then yes, we have all right to bitch on them.
User avatar #125 to #121 - thatoneiranianguy ONLINE (08/29/2013) [-]
In my personal opinion once someone reaches driving age they should work towards a more productive lifestyle. Not entirely sacrificing what they like to do in free time, but none the less balance it.

I'm not college material myself. I'm joining the Airforce is a client system specialist where I'll get an associates degree in telecommunications. As of right now I have a steady tech job at the local theatre production stage crew and I've been shadowing the GPM technicians for awhile now at Whirlpool. I've had to sacrifice some of my free time but I have to say it's paying off.
