unfortunately like the podcast makes mention, it really doesn't matter how we try to pay for healthcare, the costs are so great that the only real hope for a healthy future for everyone is to eschew the symptom based treatments and get to treatments that permanently solve the underlying issues.

A "final solution" if you will. This "final solution"...

I'm just kidding, but for reals we are screwed unless we start coming up with magic pills real quick.

Totally true, if you are Honey Boo Boo on your 5th heart bypass, then you are screwed. If you take care of yourself and keep the taxman away enough to live a decent life then it really isn't an issue. Except it's gonna be a ******* real bumpy ride when all the land-whale's lose their free meds.

I agree and disagree at the same time. If you actually look at people (no offense. I don't think any of you actually care anyways though) by race, it's mainly the hispanic people that are almost always extremely obese. Especially the older ones. I also believe Mexico was also higher than USA in terms of fat people.

This report was released recently for the current status of Americans, I said 1/3 but the study says 100 million, it may be the case that my generalization of 100 million = 1/3 of america was inaccurate and by 2050 fully 1/3 will be type 2 or pre-type 2, it would seem to me to not be so long off but maybe you are right.

I wonder how many neckbeards on this site spend most of their day bitching about the fat acceptance movement (don’t get me wrong, I HATE the idea of all of that) and bitching about government-assisted health care without ever getting up to exercise or at least walk around a bit. You’ll be part of that “drain on society” statistic someday too.

Even if you stay skinny, like I know a lot of guys can, but continue to eat like **** and remain sedentary, one day it WILL give you problems.

It's just a drawing but it's a pretty accurate depiction of what a fit person's ab muscles look like when they're in training mode. The 2% body fat required by most to have a washboard ab look is unsustainable while also doing regular work outs. All the competition body builders you see on stage have been fasting and dehydrating themselves to get that look. If you were to ask one of them to go from the stage to the gym they would probably pass out before they got half way through one of their normal work outs.

Have you even seen Code Geass?
There is a group in the show called the Knights of the Round, many of their mechs reference those legends.
The Mordred is the heavy weight champ of those mechs.
