I think that would be cool... I know if our lives were a loop you would have no recollection of the life you lived before, but this post has inspired me to be more spontaneous and care less about "what ifs".

Tomorrow, i'm gonna get a #3 at taco bell, instead of a #2. Baby steps people, baby steps.

Ah, of course. Just like you did last time.

And the time before that. And the time before that...

Just wanted to point out that I work at Taco Bell and the #2 is the XXL Grilled Stuffed Burrito and the #3 is three taco supremes.

Soooo that would be a step down. I dont mean to sound like a dick or anything just thought I'd point that out.

That means everyone other than me is actually fake. And we all live in the Matrix apparently as battery juice for the system.

or everything is predetermined. Once we die we are sent back to the exact time and frame of space in which we were born, we then continue along. Perhaps everyone experiences it at their own pace, and everything has already happened.

No... it's a reliving of your life, in that exact time period, not the future, that wouldn't work if it was the future each time...

User avatar #74 to #73 - exclamation (05/18/2014) [-]
Lemme educate you, you imbecile.
He dies on May 14, 2034. He would be reincarnated at that point any time into the future (including the very second afterward), but never into the past, which is what you're implying with No... it's a reliving of your life, in that exact time period, not the future, that wouldn't work if it was the future each time... He would not be reborn in 1994.
User avatar #78 to #74 - sadisticsalmon (05/18/2014) [-]
Yeh wait I'm confused, how could he reborn at any point into the future, it says Direct quote here "And once I die, I will be reborn, as myself, living the same life over and over again"

I think he means same kind of life, virgin missing prom find perfect girl **** it up **** pants during church etc. Same **** different time.

But, how could he die at age 20 in a car crash then?
#149 to #147 - angelicdemon (05/18/2014) [-]
Roman chariot crash, horrible horse accident, hoverboard accident involving face to asphalt beltsanding etc?

or if you're asking something else, it's like reloading a gun it's different every time but the end result is the same.

No one ever goes back in time in higurashi, the anime and manga is just like that because of the original work which is the visual novel, the choices you make decide on the outcome so they had to make animations of every outcome, that's why it seems like time rewinds.

I think this actually means you'll be living the exact same life, making the same decisions at the same times. That's why I would hate if this were the truth of what happens after we die.
#121 to #118 - mastercolossus (05/18/2014) [-]
i doubt that. im sure that each time we live through it we bring something from our previous life with us just like everyone else and its a saturated ripple effect. entropy ya know?
User avatar #122 to #121 - ZenMacros ONLINE (05/18/2014) [-]
Well the way it's described in the post, it just seems like it'd always be the exact same life. But if we could take a bit of knowledge with us, or maybe make mental notes that will pop into our brains at certain times (e.g. you make a note to stop that guy before he kills your friend, and when the time comes the thought pops into your head and you go to it). But if it's just the same thing over and over again, that would suck, unless I end up living an amazing life.
#135 to #122 - blancka (05/18/2014) [-]
Maybe deja vu is what you experienced before. Like a part where **** went wrong and deja vu is your way of changing it, since just experiencing it will make you do things slightly differently, having a butterfly effect.

Is this why we experience dejavu? We're really just re-experiencing and recalling things from our precious life?
User avatar #124 to #92 - gmarrox (05/18/2014) [-]
Deja Vu is what happens when you die without saving your game.

User avatar #102 to #92 - KEpToK (05/18/2014) [-]
Dejavu is quite literally one eye processing what its seeing before the other eye.
User avatar #105 to #102 - noobstoski (05/18/2014) [-]
Then why is it that I have memories of the thing that I am dejavu-ing about from weeks before the dejavu itself? Eg, I picture a scene with a bunch of people that I know saying something weird and specific in a specific order. I have that dream on May 10. That scene then happens the way that I dream it, on May 24. What then? What do you call that?
User avatar #161 to #105 - KEpToK (05/19/2014) [-]
Sorry that was a half-assed answer, that is one of the explanations for what you experienced. The most common explanation in science these days is that dejavu occurs when your brain tries to record something as it happens, but because you are sleepy/tired/not paying attention to the event in question or whatever, your brain doesn't record it as something important and instead let's it drift away into the deep recesses in your noggin. So when dejavu happens, you're really just coming across something or someone that triggers that ancient half-recorded memory.
