**** this guy; the number he uses for an average thermonuclear weapon is off buy a significant margin. At the U.S. peak of the stockpile we held about 7500 megatons of payload. Assuming that his calculations are correct, this amount of yield would make about 2,462,500 square kilometers of destruction. This would make 25.37% of the area of China Blown up entirely. This number doesn't not include the area of the shockwave, or the area the radiation covers. 25% of China would be a giant crater.
