I mean, technically, it's true. A 100% chance means it's a sure fire, but any less than that, and no matter how slim, so long as the chance to fail is there, it will probably happen.
"If things can go wrong, it will." It's a law of the universe. Just be happy with the little victories!

What the hell are you talking about man?
- Something that has 1/100 chance to happen is not probable. It can happen, but in the majority of times (99/100) to be exact, it wont.
- Inanimate objects do not have a will of their own and therefore cannot change outcomes, if Muphy's law has any value, it should be used as a precautionary sort of mindset. Kinda like; - Don't run large risks that might be statistically in your favor, but will royally **** you up if it goes wrong.
- The reason we tend to think like that is either because a: we were wrong in our assessment of what the chance was, b: because we tend to remember the times we were critted twice in a row more, than the times we weren't.

Hey-o! It's called Murphy's Quantum Law! I understand your meaning, but no matter how strange, please don't lump me in to a strange circle; it's a pretty well known quantum theory! Constantly put to the test by many a dice roller.

Kids typically make this mistake a lot.
"If the chances are so small then why even worry".
Well if you take the chance every single day then eventually its going to happen.
Same **** with even getting into a vehicle if you think about it.

That's why I'm certain at some point in my adult life, I'm going to **** my pants. Not when I'm super old, that doesn't count. I'm talking healthy adult. Sometimes, when I have to ****, I can't find a bathroom for some time. I'm too far away from one, the stalls are occupied, etc. Sometimes, I have some digestive distress that makes me really, imminently need to poop and I can't hold it in. When I can't find a bathroom, my poops are never super emergency, so it's mostly just obnoxious. When I have digestive distress (thankfully rarely) there's always a bathroom fairly close by. If I encountered the intersection of both these events, I would probably end up ******** my pants. The probability for either event is respectable, so the probability for the intersection of these events is quite low, but still probably high enough that it will occur at some point in my life. I live in perpetual fear.

Probability is how likely it is to happen, meaning that in this case, there was a 99% chance to hit in all three attempts. This means that the chance to succeed on any one given attempt is 99 out of 100, or in this case 297 out of 300. Meaning that it is not probably for a miss to occur.

Yeah, but chance is not additive. It would be calculated as 0,01 * 0,01 * 0,01 = 0,000001 = 0,0001% chance. So for this to happen in a videogame is just mindboggingly unlucky, or plain *********.

"so long as the chance to fail is there, it will probably happen"
That's counterpoint to the literal definition of probable
