Girlfriends dad who is prior navy was denied because of a conviction of assault 20 years prior. The assault was on a dude his wife (separated at the time) was dating and was abusing the wife and his kids. Cops did not give a **** and harassed him about it because the dude was a few cops buddy. The judge (also part of the group) told him to plead guilty and take a lesser charge of assault on a household member (even though this guy was not part of the family and was not even in the wife's home but at his own home) or be sent to jail for a year on a higher charge. So not wanting to let his kids get put back into a bad situation (because the mom is a dumb ******* idiot **** head who should of been shot in the head years ago), he took the lesser.
Funny part, he was denied a 2nd weapon as he already had gotten one about 2 years ago. Found out the reason is some thing ( I was told Obama did it) went into law that made it even harder for anyone with ANY criminal conviction to get a hand gun.
