well, I'm not very good at IT, but I'd guess that there is a program on that guys computer that looks the pages he's looking at and hyperlinks "keywords" to little dropdown menu ads that relate to the "keywords". I think its usually an extension or like add-on to your browser that does it but I'm not sure.

You are correct,

What the malare does is called "Anchoring". It selects words on a page, creates an anchor (link/hyperlink) and then you can see the page. The blue text is a link to an outside source, often advertisment. It often comes with browser addons. To get rid of it you simply turn off all addons and turn them on one at a time. When the anchors pop-up again you know which add-on it is.

Else you gotta go dig a whole lot deeper to get rid off it. But thats hard to do.

timmity alert for extra explanation if you want it.

Uninstall all of the strange programs on your computer and wipe all the extensions you don't use. More often than not it's just an extension you can remove pretty much immediately.

the blue underlined words in his post. That isn't supposed to happen. It usually only happens when you have malware that uses certain words for advertising.

I feel bad for you non-Koreans who try to look this thing up but can't, because you can't type Korean.

Bong-Cheon Dong ghost is what you should be looking for.

Ps. I live in Bong-Cheon Dong but never saw the ghost.

Or you somehow got malware that targets Chrome, because Chrome tries to prevent **** like that as much as it can, and it does a pretty good job.
