Confession time
All your book related sins go here

I used to read a lot of pretentious books just to be able to brag about it and seem intellectual.
I've read thousands of comics and payed for exactly 0 of them.
I have a large library and read maybe ten books out of it, but I build it up in order to, again, brag and seem intellectual. (in case you noticed this may contradict my first confession, most of what I read, I read on a tablet or phone)

I just hate superheroes movies and stuff.

there are other types of comics. Cape comics are just the more popular.
If you want to try out comics as a medium but don't like superheroes, Sin City is a good one... I think... how do you define superheroes? Like, is Batman a superhero? His stories are less about the fantastic elements and focus more on the psychological, for example.
I'd like to help out, but I mostly read comics because I enjoy the medium and, more than anything, superheroes.

I'm a slow ass reader. Which isn't really a sing. I'm a busy man and you can't immerse yourself with speed reading.

I didn't mind the Twilight series.

I spend significantly more time playing videogames and dicking around on the internet than I do reading despite having a huge Kindle library at my fingertips
I can't stand reading comics or manga
I've hated most "classics" that I've read

1. I've always preferred Marvel slightly over DC.
2. I honestly think the New 52 is over hated.

from what I've read of the Nu52, only Batman seems to be good. I simply hate the Superman comics and he's my favorite...
Marvel or DC is a matter of choice, really... I've never liked anything Marvel with the exception of Deadpool.

1. I treat my books shitty. Or more like, I can´t manage to keep them in good condition. I´ve got around 10 Versions of the LotR because I reread it monthly and the old versions fall apart.
2. I have a huge hate for several "realistic" classics, because I feel like writing about real/realistic occurances is the lowest form of literature and I hate how crititcs and pretentious douchebags give it so much more credit then masterpieces like the whole Tolkienverse get.

realism never sat good with me when it comes to books or movies... you have a medium that can make anything possible and you limit yourself "realism". I do see the appeal, I just don't share the enthusiasm.

Exactly my problem - sadly that´s a standpoint that´s usually looked down upon by everyone.

I hated reading books that eeeveryone else read, like Paulo Coelho.. I hated that guy
when I was a teenager, I liked Nicolas Sparks..... women -.-'
I liked reading books from certain authors, but then I would always get bored soon cause they all the books were the same and got predictable real soon
My biggest sin, though, is because of college, I can't really read books anymore.... :/
