So, I have a terrible habit of starting several series and forgetting some of them; or I'll start several long running series and get distracted by short new series. So I'm playing catch-up on the ones I unintentionally dropped.

I just caught up with both My Little Monster and Beelzebub. I have to say, I'm very disappointed at both endings. They were both very weak. In Beelzebub there really wasn't anything that changed. They had set it up so the series would have a meaningful ending, but they completely erased that.

In My Little Monster, there wasn't really anything definitive. I really like romance series that have a definitive resolution, do they end up together or not? Unfortunately, there isn't anything like that in My Little Monster. I guess they were setting up to continue the anime (the manga is ongoing,) but seeing as a lot of these series don't get a second season, I wouldn't count on it.

Wasn't Beelzebub cancelled, and that's why it had a bad ending? Plus Tonari wasn't that great and sold rather poorly.

Yeah, it did get cancelled, as did Bleach, and Gintama went on hiatus (and came back) at around March 2012. Since it was cancelled though, they should've taken some liberties and given it an end.
