Just finished Usagi Drop.

Definitely brought out the paternal side of me.

Anyone else see this anime?

I know that feel man. She was just the coolest kid ever. I watched that show the day after finishing Clannad AS... it was a roller coaster of a weekend. >.>

The manga apparently goes 10 years into the future where she is in High School. I'd be interested in reading that.

Brb reading the manga. (Seriously, that show was crazy awesome. When I read the synopsis before it came out I thought it would be meh. Was emotionally destroyed due to Clannad so I wanted some filler stuff. Stumbled upon what became one of my all time favorite shows.)

I watched Clannad, and then moved on to Toradora. I was holding my breath for the last couple of episodes because it wasn't going in the direction I wanted it to. Toradora ended nicely though, and was a good way to wash my hands of the feels obtained from watching Clannad.

I did the reverse. Toradora then Clannad. A friend was like, "Hey if you enjoyed Toradora you may also enjoy Clannad." Toradora though is my favorite anime of all time though, so there were times when Clannad would get real and I would proceed to rewatch all of Toradora so I wouldn't be too depressed to function. =P

If you liked Usagi Drop, there was one called "Listen, girls, I am your father!"

It's not as 'real' as Usagi Drop, but the premise is similar, and there are some feels to be had.

Yea, watched that one. And that's kind of what I thought about it too. Was still an enjoyable show to watch.

I was really caught off guard by what happened in that one. When it happened, I just sorta stared at my screen in disbelief.

Me too. It caught me off guard, but I really like the direction they took that series. Went from kind of goofy comedy to a feel good, learning about life and family show.

Yeah, I enjoyed pretty much every character in that show, with the exception of the creepy pedo club president. lol

A valid point. I feared for the innocence of the girls though. xD

Me too. I was worried for a bit about the nature of the show. But I was proven wrong...and I was very very relieved.

Your icon is the Dango Daikazoku from Clannad! You're a fan of the family themed animes, eh?

eh, not particularly. Clannad just happens to be favorite anime, but that's because of the comedy and feels.

Sometimes when I browse this board, I see people spoiling it, and I feel bad for people who wanted to get into it.

It was nothing but feels for a week after I finished After Story.

Urgh, yeah, I try to keep spoilers to a minimum, but there was one time I was guilty of that when someone asked for an explanation of the ending. There are people, however, who have read the full synopsis of clannad and were still overwhelmed when they actually watched it.

I think actually seeing it for yourself, plus hearing the soundtrack really does it. I adore the "Dango Daikazoku" track just for that reason.

Oh, God, I know.

The track that does it for me the most, I think, is "The Place Where Wishes Come True"
