Okay guys, I tried googling this and I didn't really find any useful information, so I'm turning to you.

I'm in the process of transferring jpeg files from my computer to a flash drive. And something I noticed was that on a couple of the images, the thumbnail shows more of the image than the image itself. I'm going to use an example from someone else who had the same problem: If the picture were of something like the Empire State Building, then what the thumbnail shows is the entire building, whereas when I click it to view it, all it shows is the top half. It's as if the picture in question is zoomed in. But I checked to make sure it wasn't zoomed.

Does anyone here have this problem and if so, do you know how to fix it?

Make sure you download the original picture not the thumbnail of the picture.

It wasn't downloaded, it was sent to me from my girlfriend.

Maybe she didn't send you the original

Well there were two with this problem and I know she intentionally edited one of them. I don't think she wanted me to see the original. But the other one was only a very subtle difference and didn't seem worth cropping.

A rat?

Okay I can figure this out. If the goal is to control her computer, I can only assume the 'r' and the 'a' stand for 'remote access'. But I'm lost on the 't'.

If you didn't know what a rat was and you didn't google it I am quite approving of your contextual deductive thinking.

She's asleep now. I'll talk to her about it tomorrow. I'm kind of upset. They're supposed to be pics of her (the kind of pics girls only show to their boyfriends) and one of them is of her chest. But the thumbnail for that picture shows the entire upper body including the head, and it's not her. And I never noticed because the thumbnail never showed the full picture until tonight when I was transferring the pics onto my flash drive. And now that I see that she faked one picture, I have to wonder how many others are fake as well.

Make sure you're zooming out. Sometimes pictures are HUGE and your computer resolution is smaller than the picture resolution. So open up your image viewing program and zoom out. If that doesn't work, you're on another planet that has psychic thumbnails....
