Ok gais heres my story. First day of school (Aug. 28th), in my English class, there was a girl sitting next to me whos really shy and really cute. I made friends with her and walked to her her next class (we're in 10th grade) and I couldn't stop thinking about her since I looked at her. I found out that I have lunch with her on one of the two days that alternate but when I saw her in the cafeteria, she was walking with another guy. She told me later in English class that she made friends with a freshman and he's really cool. All my friends say its obvious that she likes me and when I "jokingly" said "You want me to hook you up with him?", she said "No way! He and I are just friends!" Now this is where the whole thing goes to shit. Shes from a different state. And shes going back to that state in a few months. Shes only here because of her father and military related stuff. This girl is one of the most perfect girls I've ever met, and shes a girl that I clicked with instantly and its always easy to talk to her and joke around with her. The problem is, I don't want to get attached since shes leaving in December. Plus, she might just be friends with all guys, and the moment I became her first friend in the school, I put myself in the friendzone so deep that nothing can get me out. I can't sleep, concentrate in school, or do anything (I'm posting this at 1 am on a school night). If anyone could help me I'd really appreciate it.

Well, you know for a fact that she's going away, so just enjoy her while you have her, maybe ask her to hang out, not to start a relationship, but just to spend as much time with her as you can before she leaves. Yeah, you'll most likely get attached, and yeah, you'll be sad when she leaves, but it's that or cut her off completely to save face, which in my opinion would just be a waste of fun you and her could be having together.

Just reeelllaaaxxx, bro! It always seems like they're THE one, and nobody could replace them until your start the feel the same way about another girl, which I KNOW from experience is possible. Life goes on, bro, life always goes on. And sometimes you just gotta go with it.

Well thats my other problem... I don't really know how to hang out with a girl that isn't my girlfriend... Its embarrassing to admit but I really do want to get to know her and like you said, spend as much time with her as possible. Any tips on that?

Huh. Well, its just kinda like...like hanging out with guy friends. Just get her to chill with you on an easy day like a Friday or something, when she can't easily say she's busy, then just talk to her about things you have in common like teachers or whatever it is you said to break the ice with her in the first place. Oh yeah, and if you're trying not to get attached, then keep the physical contact low, she might take it the wrong way or you could end up kissing or some shit.

Hey sorry to bother you again but I've been thinking and excuse my ignorance, (I'm not an awkward person or anything. I've just never really been in a situation like this) but when you mean hang out, do you mean that I should like invite her over my house or something? (And she doesn't watch tv)

Thanks man. I think I am going to take your advice but the only problem is, even though I know I don't want to get attached to her, I really really wanna get attached to her lol.

In an all serious, non-sexual way lol. I can see how someone would take it like that but that isn't how I meant it.
