On youtube, there is a user that goes by the name of thenewboston. He does some tutorials and he takes it step by step.

I have had about of year of experience with C++ and JAVA thanks to my college courses. And today I heard about something called Alice from a professor of mine; supposedly Alice can help people teach themselves.

thenewboston, first JAVA video

thenewboston helped me get started before my JAVA course began, so I was at a good standing when we first began programming.

Hey. Sorry for getting back to you so late. I checked out You need to login to view this link , and it's a good tool for helping you work out the logic behind the programming. The programming itself, you have to decide for yourself. It's still pretty cool though. I'd recommend giving it a try. You can kinda program your own animations.
