Im just wondering if there's anyone else who is in/has had an internet relationships, and your thoughts/opinions/advice.

Im beta as fuck IRL, but this girl is amazing, but lives half a world away from me. I plan to see her in a years time.

It really depends on how much work you and her are both willing to put into the relationship. I met my husband on the internet when we were 13. We had a mutual friend that we both knew in person. We would talk nearly everyday online. When we were 15 we both happened to get our first cell phones for Christmas. We started talking on the phone every night. We officially became boyfriend and girlfriend when we were 16. He visited me when he was 17. It was amazing. There were a few more visits before we were both 18. Once I turned 18 (he's three months older), I moved to his state, lived together, and got married when we were 20. Both 22 now and things are still great. He loves my family, and I love his family to death. We didn't live far from each other though, only a 10 hour car ride.

We worked and continue to work really hard on the relationship to make it work. Every relationship requires effort, and once the effort stops, the relationship is over. We were dedicated to not only each other, but our own individual plans to better our future. Love is grand, but don't let it blind you and let you make poor decisions. Keep a realistic look on the situation.

I have an internet relationship with a girl I met on omegle myself, so far it is going very well, she lives 2600 miles away so I know your feeling on that. We both realize our relationship working out is highly unlikely and we have agreed to not let our relationship affect our chances of getting real life ones but we are giving it a chance.
