You spelled favorite wrong I dont care if i get thumbed down to hell, i've done my patriotic duty for today but no seriously i dont mean this, its just a joke Carry on Why you still reading i said carry on
north america, which youre so heavily representing, spells some things differently. technically, you spelled favourite wrong, because for all tense and purposes, spelling it with the ou came way before just the o
Right but he understood that. It was a joke that an american would take it seriously enough to correct it with the audacity that the american spelling is the correct one even though it's an altered form of the one he's correcting.
I don't understand what that has to do with it, are you saying that you're assuming OP was american as well and therefore he totally wasn't joking? The joke was simply making fun of patriotism and advocating that the american spelling is correct rather than the other one.
This isn't a huge deal, but you have to realize that you can't take him seriously, it's just silly to correct someone who is clearly joking.
assuming its all a joke in the first place. look, when someone replies to one of my messages, im going to reply so the person can see my perspective. youre assuming its a joke, as it may be, but that doesnt mean it is
I get that, I don't mean to sound like an asshole, I'm just saying he states it clearly, he says "this is a joke" so that's why I didn't understand why you needed to correct it. Either way it was a misunderstanding on what he was saying, it's not that big of a deal like I said, I just wanted to make the point so that you don't think he was being serious.
