2 Nuclear warheads saved more lives in the longrun than 5000 years of conventional warfare. Yes, **** got real in a few places as communism and capitalism battled each-other on the outer rims of "modern" society, and that led to some pretty nasty dictators getting into power as well, but in the end it is a far better situation than we could have hoped for otherwise.
