even with a monkey kinda shape.

apes don't have tails and are generally larger than most small monkeys.

>be younger, go to zoo
>gorilla exhibit
>big guy, mid 20's, muscular in a red tank top also looking at gorillas
>he folds his arms and stares down the male
>male freaks out, follows guy to different windows, running and jumping at the glass
>crowd of people start following red tank top guy just to see the gorilla freak out
>best zoo memory

my father was upwards 250 pounds and hairy
the gorillas did a double take when they saw him.

they should polarize those glasses so the animals dont have to see the people constantly watching the and annoying them

I like to watch that while playing (simpsons version obviously) Dr Zaius in the background.
User avatar #89 to #88 - dachief (07/28/2014) [-]
Dr. Zaius as in the orangutan from the planet of the apes, right?
User avatar #90 to #89 - kenankeeler (07/28/2014) [-]
Of course. The fictitious POTP musical stop the planet of the apes, I want to get off! had a famous song with breakdancing apes about Dr Zaius. All in all a very funny episode.
User avatar #91 to #90 - dachief (07/28/2014) [-]
Aww, I thought you had read the book.
User avatar #92 to #91 - kenankeeler (07/28/2014) [-]
I've spent the last 4 years of my life writing a collective paper on The Divine Comedy and watching the new POTP films. Very good films, but Dawn of the planet of the apes was certainly the best yet
User avatar #93 to #92 - dachief (07/28/2014) [-]
I enjoyed it. The plotline was much different than what I was expecting from the commercials.
User avatar #94 to #93 - kenankeeler (07/28/2014) [-]
I went into the theatre expecting the usual tacky summer movie, with loads of cheap romance and action. I was pleasantly and greatly surprised, subsequently I saw Age of Extinction directly after Dawn ended. And the plot itself was very good but I feel it doesn't quite leave much imagination as to the plot of the third apes film.
User avatar #95 to #94 - dachief (07/28/2014) [-]
I saw Age of Extinction a few days before I saw DOTPOTA.

I was kind of disappointed in the direction they took the dinobots in.
User avatar #97 to #95 - kenankeeler (07/28/2014) [-]
Yeah, not much screen time. But I liked that the new films will be darker from now on.
User avatar #99 to #95 - kenankeeler (07/28/2014) [-]
Was it the lack of actual importance they held to the plot?
User avatar #100 to #99 - dachief (07/29/2014) [-]
Partly that, partly the personality (or lack thereof) that they were given. They made them out to be savage metal animals instead of intelligent cybertronians. I actually have no quarrel with the revamped designs. Except for Swoop, I mean, TWO heads? WTF
User avatar #101 to #100 - kenankeeler (07/29/2014) [-]
Considering the apparent motif of a robots soul and sentience justifying their place on earth, and at that the transformers are humanoid, I think it's cos the transformers based their personalities on humans because they are humanoid. But the dinobots took their personalities on ******* dinosaurs.

#98 to #95 - kenankeeler (07/28/2014) [-]
What disappointed you in regards to the dinobots?
User avatar #38 - neokun (07/27/2014) [-]
