If we could read everyone's thoughts, the world would be a VERY different place, but I could definitely see forced therapy/jail time/ legalized natural selection (executions) if we could detect criminals from thoughts.

You do have a point on freedom of speech, but laws truly come in and out of being when the majority sees it as taboo, unsafe for the majority, ordusgusting. If it still gets outlawed, I wouldn't be surprised.
My point, however, was that sexual lolicon, and the fact that I've personally seen commenters on this website ask for links or have posted it specifically "for research", for " science", or "fapping", create an environment for paedophilic development. Which is not good, in my book. It really is pretty unique. It's like a fandom of violent rape, which does exist and is a thing, but there is no socially accepted second step. What can you do, look for a short, a cup, baby faced 18 year old and hope you can get them to, what? Tell you their fifteenth is today and then bang? I'd be okay for them to outlaw graphic beastiality as well, since it has so many similarities to loli(you can't really legally have the right partner to pull it off).
