I agree with this. IT completely depends on the story in question. Sometimes the book is better sometimes the movie is better.

And a lot of times it seems about the same. Like Game of Thrones/aSoIaF, and the Lord of the Rings, I wouldn't say either one of those adaptions are better or worse than the book.

I don't know if any of you READ Princess of Mars, but John Carter (The movie version) was terrible. The main premise, of John fighting his way across mars to rescue his love, was ****** right up. I mean in the movie, she was better with the goddamn sword than he was. Bitch ain't helpless

If I learn a book is being adapted into a movie, I read the book before the movie comes out. If a movie that i like was adapted from a book, I don't bother reading the book.

But it's not going to stop, because there's always someone who will never share the same opinions as you do. That's just the way it is, and even if it pisses you off, you're just going to have to live with it.

It's not the opposite opinion that pisses me off, I like that, that's how you discussions start, its the fact that people will say they hate something just to make themselves look better which is an assumption, but I feel it's a pretty safe assumption to make.
