Oh, and my bro also has to come along too.

"HEY CAN I BORROW SOME MONEY?"

Not now, origin.

Uplay? More like Udontplay

That was so horrible it made me laugh.

Uplay is fine, It only opens for a second then is gone,

Origin however is the biggest piece of **** ever and should not exist in the first place.
User avatar #20 to #8 - blazingpelt (05/10/2014) [-]
Many people have legit problems getting it to even work. It took over an hour for me to set up just to play Trials, and it hasn't worked for me since.
#54 to #8 - ninefag (05/10/2014) [-]
I always pirated Ubisoft games since uplay only played FC3 anyway, the other games were ****

Making fun of Uplay while we have a perfectly ****** Origin to make fun of feels redundant
#28 to #7 - Rascal (05/10/2014) [-]
Origin is an easy target and everyone knows it's bad. You shouldn't buy EA games anyway, because they are equivalent of your big evil corporation.
Ubisoft games/published games are often good products, but ******* uplay ruins it for many people. I personally don't buy any games with uplay. It deserves to be made fun of. Ubisoft must get a clue.
User avatar #30 to #28 - wmpedo (05/10/2014) [-]
I have never had an issue with Uplay and the fact that they dont limit their games to just Uplay makes me buy em so that i can so EA whats up
#27 - lolollo (05/10/2014) [-]
Uplay for me has always just been that thing that pops up every now and then, like your little brother who keeps staring at everyone from the door who will ask "What'cha doin?" every half hour, though he never really does anything else...just...lets you know he still exists every now and then.

Origin sucks a lot of dick and hardly works, Close to never, even thouhg you can get a bunch of games cheap its still **** if you cant play them. Uplay is just really buggy sometimes, but is great for little free DLC that you can unlock by getting points by getting achievements and Trophies. They have some cool stuff to buy. Backgrounds little things you cant get in game, extra suits.

#18 to #16 - Rascal (05/10/2014) [-]
Short answer. They're **** .
In terms of a middle man service used to play games, they're considered the best of the lot. The others being Origin and Uplay. Better organised, bigger library and most importantly, lots of good sales often enough to make some people's wallets cry.
I personally don't really mind using origin and Uplay, but if I had a choice I'd prefer to just use steam only, simply because I'm used to the layout and I like to have my games all in one spot and easily accessible without having 50 thousand shortcut icons on my desk etc.
#21 to #16 - walmartysnextghost (05/10/2014) [-]
steam is a store that lets you manage your friends and games really easy. Origin and uplay are hoops you have to jump through to play a game so the developers can prevent piracy trying to play off their money-grubbery by pretending to be steam-like.
User avatar #13 - manofparody (05/10/2014) [-]
For those people claiming uplay works fine:
Yes, it does work fine.. But there should never be a login service inside of a login service just to play a video game. It'd be cool if Uplay just went off steam's account service, but it doesn't (and yes it's possible so don't come at me with that **** , bro).
I shouldn't have to update 3 different services just to play a video game (Steam, Watchdogs itself, AND uplay). So for uplay to exist in the fashion that it currently does, it is indeed retarded.
#2 - Rascal (05/09/2014) [-]
I played Far Cry 3 and Blood Dragon and uPlay worked fine. What's the problem everyone else is having?
#15 to #2 - endospore ONLINE (05/10/2014) [-]
Because the internet hates change and anything new and different must be terrible. Just look at the comments section whenever Facebook or Youtube have the slightest update.
User avatar #19 to #2 - frotw (05/10/2014) [-]
I don't like having to log in again after already being in Steam even if I only have to do it once every so often. But UPlay isn't as bad as Rockstar's service whatever it's called imo, **** rarely works
User avatar #22 - supersnake (05/10/2014) [-]
Steam>Nothing>Origin>UPlay>WindowsLive>SocialClub
#23 to #22 - Rascal (05/10/2014) [-]
I prefer no DRM thanks.
User avatar #24 to #22 - therealtjthemedic (05/10/2014) [-]
So nothing's better than Origin?
Also, I don't think socialclub is that bad. It's not required except for sharing screenshots or crews etc..
User avatar #25 to #24 - supersnake (05/10/2014) [-]
it's unnecessary when you also have the necessary windows live

and saying "nothings better than origin" sounds like origin is the best but what i typed was that having nothing would be better than having origin

Tropico 5 now costs 20 americun cents in Russia (6,39 RUR) on uplay.
User avatar #38 to #32 - DeathOne (05/10/2014) [-]
Wait, what's that about Tropico 5?
User avatar #39 to #38 - tenfinnvo ONLINE (05/10/2014) [-]
Just what i said. Tropico 5 pre-order on Uplay currently costs only 20 cents in Russia.
User avatar #40 to #39 - DeathOne (05/10/2014) [-]
I aint even mad, I payed ~38 euro to preorder, and the devs deserve the money. (20% off Steam via a coupon for applying for the beta)
User avatar #41 to #40 - tenfinnvo ONLINE (05/10/2014) [-]
Eh, i will most likely buy the game on steam anyway. Tropico games are great, and gaben the devs deserve the money.
User avatar #42 to #41 - DeathOne (05/10/2014) [-]
Haemimont Games develop Tropico, Kalypso publish it.

Also, sauce on the low low price of T5 in Russia?
#43 to #42 - tenfinnvo ONLINE (05/10/2014) [-]
I know, that was a joke.

There was most likely a mistake, they just mispalced the dot a couple of times. The game should cost 629 RUR (about 20$), but it costs 6.29 RUR.
User avatar #45 to #43 - DeathOne (05/10/2014) [-]
There ya go! I was expecting it to be lower than over here (20 USD = 14.54 euro according to google).
User avatar #48 to #45 - tenfinnvo ONLINE (05/10/2014) [-]
Eh, PC games in Russia are always a couple of times cheaper than anywhere else. Piracy is overwhelming here, it's so common that you're strange if you use licensed products (why the **** you spendin money on something you don't need to spend money on?)
So the prices are made very cheap so that at least some people would buy the **** .
That doesn't apply to consoles though. But they're not popular here anyway.
User avatar #49 to #48 - DeathOne (05/10/2014) [-]
I am from Romania, and people look weird at me when I say that I preordered Tropico 5 for 200 lei.

I have 500 games on steam. Imagine the looks.

I actually liked uPlay, at least a lot more so than Origin. It's kinda neat that you can use your little achievement points to get bits of DLC in your games. Kinda a pain to work with, but not harder than Origin.
#3 - jakatackka (05/09/2014) [-]
uPlay works just fine.
User avatar #33 to #3 - yuvesh (05/10/2014) [-]
had to use it because of child of light

for the most part it works.

but it said i had dlc activated, but it didnt show up in the game.

I've never once touched Uplay or Origin. Steam has always been great to me and has never failed me.

I shudder to think I'll have to have Uplay to play Watch Dogs...
User avatar #37 to #36 - kyoutu (05/10/2014) [-]
The game doesn't look that great anyway, the graphics were brought down to r-tard level for consoles.
User avatar #26 - themurp (05/10/2014) [-]
I like origin better than steam. Origin never ***** me over.

I have almost all my games on steam though, which might be the cause
#29 to #26 - Rascal (05/10/2014) [-]
