According to the content, the UK is not in Europe because all European wall sockets look like Phanact. Because, you know, Europe is one place.

Well a lot of the UK would like to think it's not in Europe. At any rate, the sockets have been like that everywhere I've been in mainland Europe.

You must have been to some strange places.

I've been to Ireland, England, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and France and I have never seen sockets like that.

Are you sure they aren't eastern European?

Ireland and England are probably the same, not sure. I've been to Switzerland, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Italy and Ukraine and the sockets all accept the same type of plug even if there are slight variances in the appearance.
