Patrick Kleplek, writer for Kotaku and previously GiantBomb, wants a statement, HuniePot obv declines knowing just what kind of article their statements are going to be used in. Thats just about it.

Some consequences are bigger then others, and considering how many people in the Anti-Gamergate side got effected.

-Multiple 'gaming' websites are about to close, with two already defunct
-Sarah Nyberg and Valis (Anitas editor) exposed as pedophiles
-Zoey and Anita humiliated in the UN for faulty reporting

And Gamergate icons (Milo and Sargon) were recently able to get their side spoken on BBC network.

Basically, Dead or Alive Xtreme Volleyball (DOAX) is a hyper-lewd "girls playing volleyball on the beach" game. Pic related. Hence, the publishers weren't gonna sell it in the west. However, HuniePop, a western dev who's already put out a hyper-lewd dating sim of their own, offered to sell the game in the west because they know there's money to be made off of us weebs.

Kokatu, smelling a chance to write yet another article on the exploitation of women in video games, asked if they could get in touch with HuniePop about their planned distribution of DOAX. HuniePop just flat out refused to talk with them.

It's pretty significant because not only is it a slap in the face to Kokatu, generally in business you operate under the philosophy of "any publicity is good publicity." HuniePop is essentially saying that at this point, Kokatu's reputation is so abysmal that they'd rather have no publicity at all than have Kokatu write an article about them.

But isn't it a guarantee that if someone wants to write a piece about something, they're going to do it with or without contribution from a person they wanted to interview? I don't think Kotaku is going to drop their article just because Huniepop isn't giving a statement. They'll probably still try to pain him in a negative light regardless.

I mean I can understand weebos being pissed off that DOAX isn't being released in the west but lets be real these games don't sell well enough for Koei Tecmo to swim through the SJW ******** just to port a game that not even horny 12 year olds would buy since internet porn is more accessible. I know this is about censorship in the west getting out of hand and political correction poisoning our society but from a business standpoint its not worth the hassle if only a small percentage is going to buy it.

I couldn't care less about the game itself, and looking at the sales of DOAX 1 and 2, I'm not the only mad person who doesn't care about the game itself. It's the reason it was canned for.
I understand he 'doesn't want to drown in the SJW dung pit, but by canceling an entire game for foreign release for it only encourages those SJW. It shows that they actually do have the power to influence the world and that's bad since they promote a world of censorship.
I don't care that it's DOAX. It could have been Rapelay and the point would have been the same.

as i got it there is still a english version of the game, they just not going to have a campain for the western world
so you can get the version, just not in a game stop for example
i think its more of a publicity stunt, so they can pay less (for marketing/importing) and gain more through the higher antenttion because at least some people will get this now just for the cause of having it

Personally, I don't mind this not coming to the West. Koei Tecmo has to be one of the worst PC devs I've ever had bought from. They leave their games broken, and unfinished. They keep them at 60 dollars no matter how old they are, they aren't patched after release.
If HuniePop does do this, I sure hope they don't let that happen.
