<----Had this **** happen to me in Fallout 4 while wearing the T60D Power Armor, almost got taken out but my companion Mother. ******* . Paladin. Danse.(T60D and Laser Rifle by default) ******* turned his mutated lizard ass to ash at the last second.
second deathclaw i ran into was a push over in comparison to the one you fight in concord, mainly because i have a automatic pipe rifle that has an additional 25 damage as bleed effect, ****** showed up and died shortly after i unloaded 30 shots into him
The BOS in this game has me so conflicted, Danse and his squad seem like the only people who actually want to do good. whilst Maxson is a ******* psycho postapocalyptic Hitler
I'm with you Dance is pretty cool, but BOS is getting progressively more extreme but it's getting to the point where I'm like, "well, I've come to far now".
First one you fight knocked my power armors left arm off and then played the animation, character just shoved it off and I beat the Deathclaw to death with my minigun.
how do you continue the BOS questline ? i did the quest where you end up fighting synths with Danse and the one where you search the recon team but i got nothing else to do, also i did a ******** of cleansing and quartermastery
Deathclaws don't give a **** , I was wearing my x-01 armor and got ambushed, I must have used like 6 stimpaks and a **** ton of gauss rifle ammo. Dogmeat didn't stand much of a chance.
Well, we are talking about an alternate timeline with future tech made from archaic parts. I could totally imagine Myspace in that mishmash of past and future.
Actually, in the Fallout universe, the Great War starts October 23, 2077. Yes, it's a world where the 50's never ended. The technology never evolving and energy efficiency never being a thing is what caused the Resource Wars in 2052, which then escalated into the nuclear apocalypse we all know and love.
Fallout isnt in the 50s. It takes place almost 200 years after the divergence from their world and ours after ww2. Hence why they are stuck in a retro 50s era all the time
I understand deathclaws because though you can destroy them by crippling legs without doing that they're still kinda hard. Cazadors just aren't hard at all
there was one canyon in fonv that had at least 50 of these things in small groups, what i would do was just use a silent anti mat rifle, and the gnr implant to slow time and stealth kill them all.
they move so fast and even with time slowed its still a hard ******* shot. But even on very hard setting you can still one hit kill with a sneek crit even to the wing. (which is were you should be aiming so they cant chase you if they live)
When that failed i would just mele with proton axe. mele is op in that game becuase of the knock down perk.
keep in mind i was level 40 when i did that, so kinda invincible at that point with stealth armor and elite riot helm putting me at DT 25+ and all thoes bug killing perks from killing so many, but i also had it on very hard setting so maybe those tips could translate to normal mode at a lower lvl.
TDLR- aim for the wings, use guns with bonus limb damage or go for the critical sneak kill. Land mines DO NOT work.
This is refering to Fallout 4, where you get power armor within a couple of hours and it basically turns into an FPS, because you are become death, destroyer of worlds.
I still haven't played 4, but from what I'm hearing, some people are up to their nipples in fusion cores. I guess how long the suit'll last really depends on your playstyle. I'm the type that doesn't fire much, hides a lot and hoards ammo and explosives like a squirrel with Alzheimer's, so I doubt someone like me would have a hard time keeping the suit in check.
I hide and try snipe from a distance, when that fails i take out my automatic rifle and shotgun and go rambo on their asses. Dont really use the power armor, unless im in a pickle. its really strong, but its annoying to take care of. most fun i have is finding treasure.
I have 18 cores i think, I've used the suit 3 times so far when you get it, going with Danse to clear the island, and the trip into the glowing sea however I've not been out of my way looking for them since I'm not usually a PA user
Fusion cores are insanely easy to get a hold of. I never even bother to get out of my armour any more unless I need to use a crafting bench. And I sprint and use the jetpack pretty liberally. When I stopped playing earlier I had like 28 of them in stock.
I only used it when i knew i had a big fight coming up. Now i am probably about 3/4 of the way through the story and have 12+ fusion cores so i'm just walking around in the power armor. I definitely think the fusion cores limit you a little bit but not too terribly much
Killed a deathclaw today at level 11, it took 1 Nuka grenade, 4 frag grenades, i frag mine, 15 rounds of sniper shots, and a dog with way more balls than me.
I LOVED fighting those things. They had so little health, i used them for target practise. it's really satisfying killing a horde of things that die in one hit
If it weren't for the frame drops, fo4 would be a solid game.
I'm enjoying customization and settlements.
Gunplay is a huge improvement.
Cool variety of interesting characters with good voice acting.
I'm enjoying exploring and finding new stuff.
I don't know why people are so upset with it.
no skills
Roleplaying and dialogue is limited due to your character having backstory
world is small
F3: RPG with shooter elements
F4: Shooter with rpg elements
I'm nitpicking, I enjoy the game but it's not as what people hyped it up to be.
You have a backstory in all the fallout games. Fallout 1-you lived in the vault all your life, you come out to go get a water chip.
Fallout 2- you are a descendant of fallout 1 MC, you live in arroyo and have to get a GECK to save it
Fallout 3- You live the backstory, you grew up in the vault, go find your dad
Fallout New Vegas- seemed like no real backstory other than you being a courier, but lonesome road reveals your characters backstory.
The world isn't small, that's a rumor someone started.
And when I say backstory and dialogue I mean half the time you're talking to people (of what i've played so far) your character is simple minded and always talks about his son. I've only played New Vegas and I liked the fact he had very little backstory so you can roleplay whatever you want. But in Fallout 4 you are a concerned father/mother and there really is no other dialogue options other than Yes/No/sarcastic. My statement isn't final as I've not played the game enough only like 8 hours
I get what you mean, I'm not trying go all fanboy defence, but it helps to just pretend the backstory isn't there, though it is hard with the dialogue system.
I can't play the game yet, no PC to play it on, but I've played about 6 hours on my friends xbox while he played on his PC He didn't buy it on both, he used an exploit to get it on his xbox
I really hope they don't have a voiced protagonist in the next TES game. I have a feeling that Skyrim is a peak for the series and they'll only **** things up from there
No, It used to be, or still is (haven't played in a while) , that the T-51b Power Armor in Fort Constantine did not require the Power Armor perk to wear it because you needed 3 keys to get it.
he is
or hes talking about reclaimed power aromor from fallout newvegas
or better yet the power armor you can get from the brothor hood but good luck keeping it in tact the armor they give you is like 5% health.
>dump all combat points into energy weapons
>get in with the Van Graffs at Silver Rush for a nice discount
> **** bitches, get money
>buy the only energy weapon you'll ever need and plenty of ECPs to boot
>let Ol' Sprty take care of your pest control problem
just don't aim for the face, momma deathclaw deserves an open casket funeral
Cazador versus deathclaw in the thorn usually ends in mutual death.
The deathclaw kills the cazador and then dies from poison.
The worst part is that you never fight just 1 cazador.
you can easily blow a deathclaws legs out with mines. YOU CAN WATCH MY VIDEO IF YOU LIKE.
HEY EVERYONE. IM LINKING MY YOUTUBE VIDEO THAT I MADE BY MYSELF OF ME KILLING A DEATHCLAW THAT I HUNTED ALL BY MYSELF BY MYSELF OF ME KILLING A DEATHCLAW.
Try commanding a follower to attack him to distract him, or abuse the stealth system and take pea shots from a corner avery few seconds, failing those two things you could just come back later when you are a higher level with better gear, or turn the difficulty down like a scrub
But he's in the way of a quest . And by crazy DR, I mean my best weapons were barely moving his health bar. I would like to have ammo at the end of this
If you have settlements and you build a bell (underneath resources>miscellaneous) you can ring it to gather all the settlers in a town, you can select a settler & it'll open their inventory and they usually have 6-12 .32 bullets each, and those bullets refresh every few days, so you could just warp between towns collecting taxes and waiting to replenish them until you have a few hundred rounds and then go back and unload on him
If you don't have settlements i don't know how else to help you
Idk what's so difficult about them altogether. Just shoot them in the legs and you've got yourself a cripple in a wheelchair to shoot(one with plenty of health, but enfin)
When your playing on very hard mode the death claw legs wont cripple in time unless you started with a critical sneak attack.
on very hard mode this is how you handle death claws:
pre meditated death claw attack- set several land mines, if theres more then one that will case, make sure you place them in a square pattern. get your sneek crit on the legs. once they are cripples do what you want to kill them. make sure you have plenty of room to back up because their hp bar will still take a while to take down.
suprize death claw attack- this is when u use those chems you've been hoarding. I recommend useing at least pycho and turbo (or implant if u have it). use anything else if you feel its necessary. Use the time slow to either place mines, or try to shoot out their legs while they chase you down.
DO NOT TRY TO MELE. even while blocking you will most likey die in one hit.
Nah, melee is the best way to kill deathclaws if they rush you if you have the right build. I always just knocked them down then kept smacking them while they were on the ground.
well maybe, but even with 25 DT on very hard they kill in one hit, i mean its plausible but i dont like doing that because its more of a gamble. Theres a chance that you cant knock em down then it just take 1 hit to kill you
Cazadors are easy, deathclaws are hardest of the lot. If they get close enough I use melee on them to kill them but I'm usually pumped full of combat drugs if multiple come at me up close. Yes, very hard mode.
everything in fallout 4 is hard core now. even on the easiest difficulty and at a decent level, when wearing power armor, rad roaches can still be a pain in the ass.
ghouls basically make it mandatory to wear power armor.
When they pounce your sorry ass from outta nowhere then you tell me to keep my freaking distance. Not to mention they legit POUNCE your ass now, getting on top of you and swipping your head like a cat toy now.
This game can be complete chaos sometimes. Trying to keep this spoiler free, but there is a mission where you have to check up on a patrol squad. Anyways...
I'm in the middle of the quest, and just got done fighting the first Glowing One I've seen in FO4. SOB's are annoying as hell and tough. Wouldn't be too bad normally, except it's in along, narrow hallways with nowhere to go, and the clipping is a little bad and you get stuck on some things when you run away. But, I had a hell of a time getting through this part. They'd force you into a corner and break your legs before you have a chance to move away, and was just not fun.
But I pass that part. Next, I go into a huge trainyard looking place, full of super mutants. Nothing, too big of a deal. Aside from the launching molotovs, Super mutants aren't too tough. Unless they are one of the buffed up suicide bombers, which this place apparently had. I had no high damaging weapons, so I was trying to kite this guy all the way down a road, for the longest time. I finally get him to about half health when I hear a roar from behind me... and get knocked upside the head. I ran back-first into a Deathclaw that wanted my ass.
So, the logical thing to do was to run back to the suicide guy. I did, but passed him in doing so. This made the Deathclaw attack him instead, and the suicide guy in turn blew up. Brought the DC down to about 25% health.. then he got busy mauling a mutant hound to death. I took this chance to blast a whole laser rifle clip into his head and take him out...
I finally got a chance to rest.. or so I though. I suddenly see a new raider looking guy that I've never encountered before. Dude had one of the skull symbols, like the bomber guy had. Took like no damage from my laser rile. What's worse, is he had a freaking flamer and sprinted at me like some kind of horny bull. He got on my ass and flamed me, from seemingly 20 feet away. So, kiting this mofo was incredibly hard. He had friends, too, but nothing too dangerous, except the other flamer. But he wasn't a skull guy so I wasn't as worried. After about 20 mins of fiddling around with the skull flamer, I finally kill him, then start evading the other flamer whilst killing the other guys.. I took my eyes off the flamer for one second to VATS one of the others, which gave him just enough time to get in my face, and completely melt my face off before I had a chance to react.
I was very irritated, as it never saved in between, from right after dealing with all the ghouls.
I saw 2 deathclaws fighting each other through the safety of my sniper scope, they were both insanely low and I shot 1 through the head killing it. The other then just kinda stood there not knowing what to do with his life. So I blew him with a grenade.
Concord Deathclaw He WILL kill you if you try to go hit for hit with him, power armor and minigun aside. If you want help, walk up to trigger the Deatclaw coming from the ground and run back to the museum, let it kill the raiders and it'll crawl back into it's hole. Then you wanna come back out, and it's gonna just sit in the hole it created and this let me moltove, frag, and rain prayers on it from above.
