But the GF let the team down when you playing games though, she will just end up being a reliability, best to leave her at home and get some of your MLG guys round instead.

Good boyfriends teach their girlfriends everything they know in games.
User avatar #39 to #21 - icedcarbon ONLINE (11/29/2013) [-]
And a good girlfriend would listen to her boyfriend's talk, even when it's about politics, she ******* hates that I swear... but when it's the other way around a guy just has to listen to her no matter what it is about!
User avatar #83 to #39 - hudis (11/29/2013) [-]
I'm not really sure what your point is.
User avatar #92 to #83 - icedcarbon ONLINE (11/29/2013) [-]
Gotta listen to everything she says, but she doesn't listen to anything a guy says... kinda like the typical thing, can't put up with his ***** , but he has to put up with her ***** . If you still don't understand and are a female then there's no point in explaining, you most likely won't understand.
User avatar #94 to #92 - hudis (11/29/2013) [-]
I'm a guy, I just think it's different from person to person and not necessarily a "Men are like this, women are like this" kind of thing.

I get the feeling a lot of the people on FJ are the kind that don't really want a girlfriend. I'm like that, anyway. It'd take someone amazing to be worth it, for me.
#68 to #26 - hoopfan (11/29/2013) [-]
....can i ask why not?
User avatar #82 to #68 - hudis (11/29/2013) [-]
Primarily because I'm content with myself. I spend a lot of time on my own because I like to and not because I don't have anyone, so to speak, so the 'single' lifestyle suits me well. A girlfriend that I am not completely amazed with would just be in the way, I feel. It would take a lot of time, money, be distracting, create a lot of obligations, etc. I'd be perfectly willing to sacrifice all that for someone who's worth it, but just any girlfriend I'm somewhat attracted to? Not so much.

Then again, I guess I'm picky as well. I'm just not attracted to most people and looks usually do nothing for me if there's nothing special personality-wise to go along with it. I realise this might sound a bit pretentious, but you did ask so that's the honest answer.
#88 to #82 - hoopfan (11/29/2013) [-]
No, fair enough. I do find it quite funny how hard either group - people who prefer their own company vs. those who like the company of others - find it to understand the other. I enjoy the company of others and do have a gf. It does help I absolutely adore her, but I think it's nice to always have someone, as long as they are the right sort of girl you actually enjoy hanging out with. In my case, we split a lot of money related activities, dinner cinema etc.

The time it takes up feels entirely worth it as it is a good time. If things feel like obligations rather than something you want to do then it's not a good relationship. Guess I've just been lucky a couple times!
User avatar #89 to #88 - hudis (11/29/2013) [-]
Yeah, I can totally sympathise with that. My sister and I are really close and while I'm very introverted, she's very extroverted, so I think I've had more chances to understand it than most who are as introverted.

Either way, I know that I've been ready to give much time to a couple of friends in my life, so I've no doubt that I could eventually do the same for a girlfriend as well, if it feels right.
#90 to #89 - hoopfan (11/29/2013) [-]

Or if you wanna have a party, invite people who WONT destroy your house, like ACTUAL friends

I used to have parties at my parent's house when they would leave and I never had to worry about anything because my friends aren't retards

i don't get why you would ever throw a party at your own house for those kinds of shindigs, place gets trashed and usually you are left with a solo job of cleaning before the 'rents show up.

better to let some other idiot throw a party and get in get fun get out

That is seriously what I did last night. My mom and sister went black friday shopping with a couple aunts (couldn't get me to do that **** twice, the other year was bad enough) and I poured an entire bag of cheetos and doritos in a huge bowl and played video games and watched anime for 5 hours straight. It was amazing.
