I played this game on a 1070 and a 5 year old AMD CPU. I also streamed the game at the same time. I didn't have any issues with it. Hardly any. Sure, a couple of times where it went down in fps for a few seconds at most and then back to normal, but the whole game is completely playable and smooth and I did the game in 2k resolution with settings at high.

I wouldn't trust any of the negative reviews you see. They're all basically lies and elitists who don't know what they're even talking about. IIRC, one of the reviews was saying "Putting my PC parts at risk!". This is a lie. Having a CPU maxed out (and not always maxed out. There's times it's at 70-80%) for a couple of hours a day is not going to destroy your computer. The only people who are giving negative reviews that are on the top on steam are just stereotypical ubisoft/drm haters.

Yeah having your cpu at high load being harmful is absolute bs aslong as temps are kept under control. That being said, the DRM is definitly having a huge impact on cpu usage. Also, streaming wont have noticeable cpu impact with your gpu if your using shadowplay(or another recorder that supports nvenc) as the encoding is done on the gpu.

I'm pretty sure he was referring to the PC version which came with extra content.

By extra content i mean a scammy little thing that forces your CPU to perform extra actions at every tick whenever your character moves.

I mean cmon, he even said "anti-pirate" and you can't pirate on a PS4 (actually you can, but newer FW's aren't being released for some reason... it's possible at least) yet

Also the "performance issues" most people have on PC usually relates to not being able to hold 60 FPS constantly (and yes some people even claim it can't do 60fps at 1080p either), which consoles can't, therefore yes you also have the same performance issues, but from different source.

The only assassins creed that was really BAD is Unity. 3 is a bit mediocre. 1 is alright but the gameplay is super repetitive. The rest can be said to be pretty good.

Big game, beautiful, fun, cool gear.
Syndicate was fun but kinda short.
Unity was very short, but a quick playthrough wasn't bad.
Brotherhood was really good, and Revelations was cool too.

My top two are 2 and 4 though.

i'd actually say it's probably tied with AC3... yea whaaaat... i know BUT Origins becomes kinda boring pretty soon.

Really enjoying the game, but I found the siege of Alexandria segment kind of a wasted opportunity. A little over a year ago, when the rumours of an Ancient Egyptian Assassin's Creed were circulating, I predicted the game would take place during the lifetime of Cleopatra VI, specifically during the Alexandrine civil war.

I was spot on. I researched the war and imagined some interesting scenarios, potential assassinations based on historical characters that died around that time. Two characters: Achilles - the half-Greek commander of the Ptolemaic army and Ganymedes - the eunuch tutor of Arsinoe IV who commanded the army after Achilles' execution, don't show up in the game at all.

To be fair, Ganymedes' role was given to Pothinus, who supposedly was killed just before the siege. An understandable change. But after a very scripted segment at the start of the siege, we just flash forward three days to the Battle of the Nile. The burning of the Library of Alexandria is never shown, nor are Ganymedes/Pothinus' poisoning of the cisterns, the naval battles between the Roman and Ptolemaic navies and so forth.

The game is good, far more grand that I had expected at first, but I think they really dropped the ball when it comes to the siege. While it looks like the Hidden Ones DLC will wrap up Bayek and Aya's story, I would welcome a direct sequel set in Greece during the Liberators' civil war and Mark Antony's reign as triumvir.

Yeah, I know. Though, It could be a rare moment of historical accuracy, as according to some accounts, the Library supposedly wasn't completely destroyed in the fire and was actually destroyed some 300 years later in the taking of the city by Aurelian. Maybe I've missed something and the next time I visit Alexandria, It'll be a burnt-out ruin, but I doubt it.

At least it looked pretty nice, you visit it early on in the game. Not to check out some information or anything, just to meet an informant. Really utilising one of the most famous libraries in history there to the fullest. The Pharos is at least utilised well.

I wasn't aware that there was uncertainty about the library surviving, the serious of events that I'm familiar with is the library getting burned and a lot of it's knowledge being lost forever, then add a few hundred years and it was finished off during a riot, the events of which are dramatized in the film Agora staring Rachel Weisz. Though that's history for you, we can't REALLY know anything for sure and the farther back you go the less things because clear.
