Cats dont actually understand punishment, so i just tapped my cats head aggressively, or pulled his tail.

It worked on my room mate's cat. Worked only for me though.
I just taught him that I will always bite back. I've just needed to show my theeth and he ran away.

Well, that means that you've dominated him, but doing so to a pet you own, that is stuck with living in your home, not quite the best thing to do.

Because he wouldnt love you? Cats dont show their affection like dogs do, but they still bond to the person that feeds and shelters them. Cats have a personality, which is in most cases is of an introvert. I've grew up with a dynasty of cats, I've seen different kinds of relations between cats-humans, cats-cats, cats-other pets.

Didn't appear to me like he did not like me. We still had normal affectionate cat-human relation. Me, and his owner too, were just the only persons in the flat who he wouldn't bite.

Guess he's a furry dick then. Next time if there is a cat biting you, pinch his/her ear, thats what their mother would do, leave a deeper impact on them aswel.
