during this debate Kate Brooks had a very impassioned argument against this man and it was very social justicy, when her part of the debate went viral many people contested her argument which lead to her claiming that they were not actually her views and demanding people take down these videos refuting her her argument. sargon invited her on a stream to explain her side of the story but afterwords evidence came out that it was ******** .
i think sargon deleted his original video, it would be annoying to find the clips.
anyway this is her part of the debate, also worthy of note is the quote that she read is a complete fabrication.
a bit long, but this is the stream sargon hosted after he took down the video he made of her debate. as far as i know he still believes her every word in this interview.
This is actually true for competitive debating, but for the formal debates (i.e. like the one in the video), they select people quite a long time in advance.
That conclusion sentence is made me spit my drink out and cough uncontrollably. "We want freedom of speech, but we're gonna have to shut these guys up for awhile"
she literally has no idea what shes talking about. shes talking out of anger not logic. the man who spoke did so with logic with thought and revision shes just blurting out the first thing that pops into her special snowflake head.
MUH M-M-M-MUH ISLAM IS PROGRESSIVE....UHH UHUHHHHH DIFFERENCE OF OPINION MEANS YOU CANT HURT MUH FEELIGNS....UUGHGHGHGHH NUH NO CHINESE GIRL YOU CANT DISAGREE WITH ME YOU ARE OPPRESSED YOU NEED MY WHITE SELF TO HELP YOU
******* hell man, when the Asian chick speaks up and she lets her because she sees it's a woman, only to get utter, utter REKT, it's amazing.
"ABSOLUTELY NOT" while trying to wave it away desperately is... amazing. Just plain amazing. Nobody in the room seems to take her very serious anymore. I mean, in her voice it's obvious that it's laden with damn near hysterical emotions that will really crush any point you're trying to make because it takes away every bit of professionalism that surrounds you.
It's a way to parody what they hate "420, smoke weed everyday, 360 noscope, etc." Whatever a stereotypical 12 year old who plays call of duty likes, essentially , but in doing so, have become what they despise.
My dad used to ridicule my aunt's way of hanging up, so whenever she was around he would mimic her by repeating "goodbye" into the phone as he placed it back into the base. He keeps doing it now. It happens, dunno why.
I think it becomes a way to exaggerate something, keeping the basis and showing how ridicule something really is. People just keep doing the stuff out of habit. Memes are actually to "fit in". Because we totally get your cool story bro. Similar to how people who like others will imititate their mannerisms, whether they realize or not.
>claps out of white guilt
Or well, gee I don't know, maybe they aren't pathetic sub-human trash who have to be proud of their race because they have nothing else to be proud of. Maybe they do know how history played out and how it affects the socio-economic hierarchy of the world.
In all reality it's most likely the student body leaders like anon in >>#19 said. However, I don't doubt that money did not influence that in some way for at least one of em, especially at that tier of college/uni, whatever you wish to call it. I don't care enough to look into em, this is all assumption.
Funfact: According to a tweet (I believe?) The girl in the opposition doesn't actually believe the nonsense she says in these debates. She is "Forced to take the position for the sake of the debate" or something along those lines.
I gotta find that tweet, i heard about it on the amazing atheist because he tweeted him? or he seen a tweet stating it.
I'm pretty sure that came about after her segment got so many bad ratings on youtube, with commenters everywhere mocking her, that I think the Oxford debating channel removed her video.
