I got dark souls after going to jail for a charge I don't wish to talk about (Nothing drug related or murder) for christmas after missing it in jail, so when I came home to a family who neither cared about my existence and only used me as a way to fixate their druken rage on me, I could have something to get rid of all that anger I had from the beatings that I came home to from school everyday, sometimes several times a day. So when I saw this it really made me cry, cry harder then when I broke my arm after being pushed down the stairs or when no one said anything to me on my birthday. **** was one of the FEW things I had to enjoy. I wish I could play it again, but I no longer have the money to or the time. Life has a funny way of taking things away to make room for everything that when you lose something you've cherished you have something new to.
I feel super bad for killing Lautrec now... he stole firelink's bonfire keeper's soul to mend his woman's mutilated face.
I mean that's a ****** thing to do, but after a few centuries of not dying... can you really blame him?
Lautrec is in love with the goddess Fina (and she with him, supposedly). And so he follows her commands and desires to the letter, forgetting everything else. Because of this, he's psychopathic in nature, while still being a knight and holding onto his ideas of honour and chivalry, he cares for nothing other than her.
His armor description is the sad part, though. "Through his isolation, Lautrec gave up absolutely everything because he believed in the goddess' love for him"
The 'lore' videos make a very good point of this, and because of the nature of his armour (Arms wrapping out to embrace the wearer, or keep them in place, rings that break if ever removed), it compares him more to a slave who does not even know he's being manipulated. That's the feel.
nah man he's not in love with her. That goddess is just psycho possessive of her followers. (hinted with the ROFP- if you take it off it breaks)
So I think he's bound to do horrible things for her. And after a few lifetimes of doing whatever she wants, what's one more bad thing in an undying world?
So he kills the bonfire keeper to make at least one person smile.
I get this info from an interview with some of the character designers. (i'm trying to find a link i'm sorry, but It was 3 years ago.)
But I'm pretty sure that's why ThePruld animated Lautrec holding the Anor Londo Bonfire keeper.
but of course Miyazaki left this open to interpretation on purpose. Evil bastard <3
Also I mistranslated some of it before, why not again?
Is that Logan or Beatrice? I want to say Beatrice cause of the tits, but that is a pretty big hat. I only learned that she existed yesterday, so I only have a brief idea about what she looks like. Also does anybody know where her summoning sign is in New Londo? Or can you only summon her if you used her against the moonlight butterfly?
honestly i wouldn't bother with her, she's pretty useless, her attacks are really only good against the moonlight butterfly and the kings don't even focus her.
After using her summon on the moonlight buterfly boss, her summon in new london should be in a dark corner with a Darkwraith kinda guarding it or something don't quote me on this though, it been a while since my last DkS1 run just before the staircase leading you to the four kings
The little are after the stairs and before the fog door, look around and it should be there, but 99% sure you must have had her at the butterfly boss aswell.
Damn it, I'm in new game+ and I really could have used a distraction with the 4 kings. It's not like I'm bad or anything, hell I beat them first try last time, and I'm currently using a +5 Great Lord Greatsword with 50 strength, it's just that they have so much health so I can only take out one, maybe two before I get ganked by three or four others.
Well I didn't know that they spawned faster with a partner, **** , oh well, I probably close to my 7th or 8th try now, Not the most I've spent on a boss, but still, But hopefully after I grind my health up a bit by farming in the painted world I'll try again with hopefully better results. Thanks for info though
I've died the most to the gargoyles at the first bell on my very first character, back when I thought humanity was just a healing item and had no idea how to summon phantoms. I can beat them now first try by myself, and every time I do, I always remember how great I felt when I finally killed those bastards the first time.
True, I got luckt and it got stuck somehow so it did not breath fire at me and I could go out hit and roll back and just kill it easily while the other stood far away. I took out all the Gargoyles in DS2 alone on my first try, made myself proud!
its slow, but great for pure crushing power
with the 4 kings there doesnt need to be 4, since they share a health bar, if you do enough damage to 1, you can stop others from spawning, red tear stone, power within, dragon roar can give you the ability to fight 1 king
are you this ******* retarded, how am i now DS2 fanboy now? it was a much weaker entry into the series due to it's linearity
also the ******* clorianthy ring is in the 1st DS, its in the ******* great hollow you scrublord, you probaly didn't even fight the hydra and become Havel if you didn't know that.
Honestly I misread what you wrote. I thought you meant a +3 ring like the ones in DS2...I'm sorry for the false accusation of casual-ness and I will do my penance via NG+3 on my sl1
>Be me

>solaire now depressed as ****
>MFW I slowly realize that I took his sunshine
>his only sun shine
>It made him happy when the spirits were gray
>and I took his sunshine away...
No you disillusioned him. Either way he becomes depressed but if you don't show him the truth of the Chaos Flame then he loses all hope of even trying and just puts a bug on his head.
The other way he strives forward, though his dream is a lie he continues on. Not for his own selfish reasons but for something new, something he was missing.
And that something was Determination. Solaire is Strong of Body and Mind, but his heart was Weak because he had never known defeat. He finally ate that salty salty dish and has become something Stronger, something that even when defeated will simply get back up and go again.
+ 6 damage to Russian units
- 7 to American units
- 5 HP to any unit directly behind you
+ 20% chance to crit on Independent units
+ 15% chance to crit on any unit directly behind you
Try to use it when there are heavy clusters of enemies. It's such a waste of mana if you only get one and waste half your mana. Don't worry they're ISIS soldiers, it's not like anything of value was lost.
I'm currently playing Dark Souls. I'm like 40 hours in and I still have no ******* clue what's going on or what I should be doing. I killed Solaire when those light bugs attached to his head, and I have no idea who Beatrice is.
Beatrice is a phantom you can summon before the fight with the moonlight butterfly in darkroot garden and then again in new londo ruins before the fight with 4 kings.
I've only summoned a phantom to help me in a boss only once, which was against that fire scorpion thing. I use the online functions of the game very little as they only seem to work when they feel like it.
