Related.
Kitten I found in a box in the creek behind my house. Someone had tried to smush her. Inb4 girls always stand in front of the things they take pictures of, I was taking a picture of myself. She was carried everywhere for the first couple months of her life, and this is the only picture I have left from that time...
She had no use of her legs, and her neck is permanently crooked.
Second picture, is a few weeks after surgery.
Misfit lives in a new family now.

But they still send me pictures to show how well she's doing.
And to show me all the things she's killed.

I wish I knew honestly.
I'd never felt so much rage as when the vet told me her injuries were from abuse.

yeah, when I was in HS there were stupid wanna be punk-rockers who bragged about shooting kittens' legs off with their dad's rifle. I like to believe there is a special place in hell for people that torture animals, especially domesticated animals.

That's just so ****** up. My family did animal rescue and rehabilitation when I was a child.
I've always had a huge heart for animals, and I can't understand the pleasure in torturing something that has no way to aptly defend itself.
I understand slaughter for food, for survival, I understand putting down an animal to keep it from suffering.
I just can't imagine maiming something so innocent and weak purposely,
and not feeling guilty and horrible afterwards.
There is a special place in Hell. Where the torturers are the weak and defenseless.
At least there better ******* be. >:l

It will be a different colour tomorrow night! Haha.
I post on some of the boards, if you get the most thumbs [there is a top ten]
you get coloured text for three days. Or if you're on the top ten daily,
you get a new colour every day.
I think the boards that give colour are Random, Items, & the Brony board.

I'm an Items reg. :3

Alrighty. ^_^
It changes after 7pm central time, so whatever time zone you're in may need to
add or subtract a few hours.

Never had much to do with any animal rescue stuff, but I live on a farm, and we have horses and cattle. a few of our horses are rescues from abusive owners. I like animals, often times more than people. and I understand there is a difference between torturing and killing out of mercy/ hunger. I've had to put down a few sick cows and horses, and while obviously I didn't enjoy it, I think it was for the best because they were going to die anyways, at least I was able to do it quickly. when I was young, I was shooting a rifle at a target range a few years ago, and apparently behind the target was a rabbit. I killed it on accident, and I felt guilty about it, so I don't know how someone can purposely do something like that.
and you're damn right.

Why specially those? What makes a home pitbull be over a wild bunny?

it's not a preference over animals. domesticated animals, for the most part, do not fear humans, like wild animals do. wild animals will run away, domesticated animals usually will not. the wild animals don't really have much of a chance, but they have more of a chance than domesticated animals do. I feel like I'm going too much into "save the animals" stuff. Admittedly, I used to hunt. I don't do it anymore, I just felt it wasn't fair. Hiding in a tree with a rifle and waiting for a deer to come by just didn't feel fair. Don't even get me started on hunters who use packs of dogs to do their dirty work.

That makes sense. Thanks for not hunting.
