No it isn't. The United Kingdom is a grouping of 4 co-equal sovereign nations. England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland are the 4 making up the UK. Great Britain is a solely geographical term that contains England, Scotland, and Wales.

I'm the American and I've bothered to learn this, so should you.

Though those 4 countries all share the same passport of the United Kingdom.

Yeah but you can argue that England and Wales aren't countries. If you ask me you might as well consider the UK a country since what does and doesn't count as a country is about as firm as what does and doesn't count as a species.

to be fair, rather change the dns setting all the time, i set up my main router, and my spare router, one has my uk default, the other has american DNS. this way my xbox, iphone, ipod, and LG tv switch between the two based on whick router i connect too.
