Well, if you're lifting to gain size, eating 6000 calories isn't weird, but for a regular person, 10.000 or even 6000 is quite a lot.
Let's take me as an example, I'm 20 years old, male, 183 cm tall (6feet) and weigh around 79 kg (about 174 lbs)
I exercise between 4-6 times a week, and according to my calculator, for maintenance though - not bulking, I need to eat 2609 - 3000 calories a day, depending if I count with 4 or 6 days of exercising.

You do not eat 6000-7000 calories a day at 125lbs. My 215lb bodybuilder buddy eats 5000-6000 when he wants to gain weight.

I believe that you made a rough and uneducated estimate of 6-7 thou, but I don't believe that you actually eat it.

Also, I'm not just some random keyboard warrior that 'knows a guy', I'm a 205lb competitive powerlifter, who happens to know a thing or two about food intake.

I dont think he understands what "eating a lot" actually is. My friends always tell me they "eat a lot" and i have to audibly laugh because they have no idea.

I currently now eat 5 meals a day, totalling very close to 7000 calories as makes no difference. My meals consist of pretty much the daily intake of my friends, i go through burgers like they are french fries. currently lifting at a rate that should kill me lol.

no but seriously, how many times have you heard "i eat so much" or "i eat more than anyone" and its just comical how little they eat?

Personal Records?
My bench is pretty low, i've never been comfortable with all the horror stories, i have benched 90kg once, had my friend spot me took me 5 minutes to work up the courage, and it was a proper bench, right down to the chest and back up.

Squat, i have never pushed myself to get a personal record, ive only put on weight for sets. 130kg is what im currently doing set wise, i could probably squat 150kg once if i pushed it. but i dont want to risk an injury., i have bad shoulders.

Deadlift im proud of, my personal record is 180kg. my jaw was like steel clamping down, had a headache for a couple days aswell. but im around 160kg for sets atm.

I only really started lifting around november last year, 6 months now, i went from being 12 stone to now 15 and a half stone, (168 - 217ish lbs)

Right now I have a 113kg bench w/pause on chest, a 150kg squat to parallel, and a 195kg deadlift. I weigh about 210lbs atm.

As far as all the injury stuff goes, it really shouldn't be something you worry about if you're using proper form. It's odd that you had a headache for days after the deadlift. I've never had that happen to me, and I've actually never heard of that happening. It's possible that you just happened to get sick around the same time or something.

i'm 25, before i was lifting i was just a skinny rat, i was like 135 lbs until 2013, then i started just going to the gym for cardio, but that **** makes you hungry, over the course of 10 months until november i was gradually gaining about a few pounds per week, as i had planned on switching to strength training but i needed some weight to kick me off, and also to get used to an extremely high volume of food intake.

The headache was purely because i had never lifted that amount before, i held it for about 4 seconds the head rush was intense to say the least. this was from not being able to deadlift 60kg back in november lol.

in about a month, that weight will seem like nothing i'm hoping. And yeah correct form wouldnt allow for injury, but again i dont want to push my luck, too many idiots at my gym trying to show off how much weight they can stick on a bar and lift it, i'm trying not to lump myself into the category.

irst time in the gym i just walked in did all my workouts on an empty barbell, except for the deadlift and barbell row, but the row i just put on very little weight and propped them up on plates. im sure i got a few people smirking and laughing at me. bbut i need to get used to the range of movement for the first week or so before i moved onto actually lifting.

I wish i had lifted at 17, i had much more energy, of course now im in full swing i have buttloads to spare, but it would have been easier to start with it.

Yeah, it's true, I'm all hopped up on teen-age testosterone, so I'm making some good gains.

So what are your goals with it anyway? Like I said before, I'm a powerlifter, so I want to be as strong as possible. I would honestly like to have a 600lb deadlift by the time I'm 20, and just keep moving up from there.

That's a good goal, but be warned, the rate you're going at now will not continue for long. When you first start lifting you make strength gains quickly because of neural adaptations and that kind of thing, once you become neuro-muscularly efficient, it's just down to building more muscle, which takes a long time. You say you've been lifting for 6 months? You're essentially still a novice lifter. The jump from a 180kg dead to a 200kg dead is going to take a while.

This only applies if you're a natural athlete though -like myself-.

Agreed. It never ceases to amaze me when people talk about how much they eat. Maybe per meal they might eat more than me, but that would be their one big meal of the day. I'll be eating four other meals that size.

I exercise on basically an every-other-day routine. On off days I eat about 1,700 - 2,000 calories, but on workout days I eat about 5,000. For a while I was doing a very different workout than I am now where I would eat closer to 7,000. I am finding better results and personally enjoying my current routine more, though. For reference, I am 6'1 and 150lbs. Gotta stay lean while getting buff. The ladies love the slender and toned guys.

That's what I tell myself anyway. Maybe someday I'll find the one...

Strangely, it seems as though the kind of girls im attracting are all gym rats aswell, simply because of how dedicated i am, i like the idea of a girl taking care of herself physically anyway.

I have pretty much ballooned in size, very noticeable, since last november, my biceps are much bigger, and girls notice. really notice i speak of the grabby types, when they ask to grab my bicep, simply because they have gotten big, i ask about me grabbing their breasts considering since puberty they have gotten really big, its doesnt always work mind you. . While the slender look does have its benefits, i think the intimidating strength is what really sets them off.

some years ago when I was fit I had dinner at home, we ate quite early that day because i wanted to eat before going to a friend I was raised in rather poor family and i didnt want to have to ask for food at friends
right after dinner I take my bike to my friends, turns out they are preapring dinner and so they offered me to eat, couldnt refuse and ate about as much as anyone else

I eat 2400 calories to gain weight when lifting and I gain a ******* of fat doing it. Then again, I don't do much else aside from studying and being a desk jockey, so my maintenance caloric level is lower than most calculators calculate (they expect people do more exercise, all I do is some cardio and some heavy ass lifting)

**** , I got a 240kg squat and a 270kg deadlift with 2400 calories. I'm 5'10 and 92kg btw, so it's not because I'm a 'manlet', I'm the ******* king of manlets according to /fit/

170g protein 250g carbs and 80g of fat, where 50g is monounsaturated (avocado and olive oil)
**** bro, it ******* sucks, as well as that I had a feeling I'm daibetic but I got my fasted blood sugar tested and it's 3.5, where 3 is considered too low, anything above 6 is too high (type II diabetes imminent for high) so my insulin should be working fine, plus I do get nice pumps after a big carb meal, and all the arteries vasodilate, like you should with good insulin sensitivity.
I'm thinking it's because of my micros, when I eat them. I tend to have big meals and not seperate up the food, simply because I need at laest 5 hours to study on top of school and it works up giving me less cooking time, so I get more **** done.

Might me cortisol from stress, I mean it is 23 days till my first exam and I've been studying like crazy, but then I've been studying like crazy for a year.
I dunno, I **** like a lot, so I'm certain I don't even absorb most of the food. Must be high activity of ASP, or hell, maybe my fat cells are insulin sensitivty because my muscle gain is generally **** , except in the lower body.

I wish I knew tho, mind you I am 20% bodyfat, so poorer caloric partioning, but then my lifts are pretty damn good and it's not neural because when I do cut, I can't do the lifts with 3 months of rebulking! Should've regained sympathetic input to the same level as before within 3 weeks! Ugh.

Also, the idea of "clean bulking" - where you don't eat as much, but still more than your maintenance amount. While you don't get the absolute maximum amount of muscle growth, you limit the amount of fat, so you stay lean, while gaining size - however slower than regular bulk.

Well Tywin already alluded to the fact that he was willing to turn the Mountain over to that guy (the prince guy who is pissed at the Lannisters). I'm imagining that we'll get to see the Mountain take that guys head off at some point (or maybe get poisoned and die idk).

But it's the principle of the matter. He has to pay for extra space for something which is genetic and he doesn't complain, whereas amerifat bitches will whine that they have to pay extra for choices they've made. Either way they're still both using up an extra seat which could have potentially been used to seat another paying customer, but at least with Thor he has no control over it and still doesn't complain.
