Basically they took a newly hatched turtle That was too weak to make it to the beach, so it was rescued. that has never been in the water, and put him on a machine that simulates wave movement to show that it's instinctual.

"yuppie" was used back in the 80s to describe arrogant, "rich" people that likes to brag about their bank accounts, designer's clothes and dream jobs. Among other things.
Basically my intention was to portray the girl having fun as in the "wee hee" expression. And calling out "yuppie" as for the people assisting the event. Guess "yuppies" would have been better. I dunno. Sometimes my humor is not on point.
I was born in 1984. I use the word yuppie more than i should sometimes.

They're testing to see if it'll turn left/right or go straight when put at different angles relative to the simulated wave motion. I think they were trying to tell if they navigated using wave motion or... geomagnetic fields?
