That's what I was thinking too. It depends on the thermometer and such since all it does is measure ambient temperature and try to get that to the set temp. If the set temp is very close to the ambient temp it might not cause it to start heating

not only that byt at my parents house the furnace works at different levels depending on the demand so if you create a higher demand the furncace will work harder then once we were comfortable we turned it off

It's called hysteresis and you are 100% correct. Depending on the setting it might not even turn on. The setting is designed for systems that work basing on previous states and it's there to stop the device from turning on and off too often. For example I have an IP cam with mechanical infrared filter that changes automatically after sundown. The thing is there's no hysteresis in the system and the cam goes ******* at dusk turning the filter on and off again and again before there is generally enough darkness for it to stay off.

Same with heating. I have gas heating and it would mean that the furnance getting close to desired temp would ignite the flame and turn in off again many times before the temp settled. I can actually change hysteresis setting in my controller.

For this specific situation (heting the house slightly but fast) I have a special function that's called "boost mode" and it keeps the heating at 100% for given amount of minutes, hour max.

typically the burners have a maximum BTU out put. So unless you have a two stage or multi stage furnace turning the temp up higher then the desired amount won't change anything. But you're probably correct if you have a two stage unit, one that runs at 65-70% then jumps to 100% if the temp plummets might technically be faster. Though it would be like slamming on the gas peddle to go 3 mph faster in a car. So even if it works its a ******* terrible for your furnace.

I felt like scum for a couple of seconds there for not knowing that until you bestowed your validation unto me lol I think, however, that pickles are immensely popular in other countries like the US for instance, but here In Spain I've only seen them at McDonalds and as a quite unusual appetizer in some meals, but only like a couple of times In my life

I'm a dude and I will never ever need this knowledge but I know what those items are for example: sanitary pad, tampon, tampon applicator, foundation, eyeshadow, eyeliner. Never used them, have no interest in them but that's a no brainer.

There is a lot of things that you don't need to know but you still know them because it's basic knowledge (yeah the pickle thing too since either you or people around you eat them EVERY WEEK for your whole life). If you don't know certain things because you didn't learn them in school still most of those simple things are so easy to figure out on your own. Especially when you're exposed to them everyday. You have to be actively stubborny ignorant or just very very dumb not to get them. For example: a few days back here I came across several people that admitted they didn't know that tangerines/mandarines/clementines are NOT just "small oranges". People well in their 20s said that. Tell me: considering it's one of the most basic fruit there are, widely available in the stores, you see them everyday and eat them often and you STILL don't know waht they're called and that they're not oranges: what does that make you?

for a long time i sort of rejected that pickles were just cucumbers because pickles were so gross to me. but is there just a specific smol species of cucumber, like snack or school cucumbers, that are used for pickles? do they have bumps before they get pickled and nasty? denmark only has sliced pickles, so i really dont know

they are different types of cucumber, but I have no idea about their english names.
The left one we call soil/land cucumber or whatever, I hope you get what I mean
The right one we call green cucumber (yeah, I know) or greenhouse cucumber.

Left one tastes much worse raw for me, but I know people who prefer this one.

Maybe he means the chicken in a finished specific form of chicken nuggets. As in chicken nuggets are actually made, they don't grow in that from whereas eggs are a finished product which is chicken period.

I can understand this, If you blast the furnace hotter the hot air dissipates into the cold room faster. but the thermostat probably measures the room temp not the out flow of air temp.
